Vacation rentals with lake access in Illinois

Extremely helpful due to the situation on why we needed such a big house. House was clean, kept all the guests comfortable and able to stay busy with darts, pool table, and hot tub. Host always responded in a reasonable time.

My group immensely enjoyed our stay. The views were beautiful and the amenities were very nice. We really enjoyed using the grill and the campfire. The location is very quiet and peaceful, and it was very easy to relax. Nick was very responsive and always responded quickly and helped us fix every issue. Nick was also very flexible with our check-in time, and was even able to help us get inside at 12 AM in the morning. If I ever go back to Fox Lake, I would 100% choose to stay here again.

Roger was an absolutely wonderful host. The house was beautiful and very clean, and all the furniture was incredibly comfortable. He even set out flowers and eye masks for our group! And the groundskeeper stopped by to set out any water equipment we wanted to use. Excellent stay, we will definitely be back. Thank you!

The home was large and spacious. There was lots of space for our teenagers and the adults. Some of the amenities need repair, but the views and time on Lake Antioch was peaceful and restorative.

My family rented the house for a couple of days for a quick family reunion. The house was great, had plenty of space for all of us. It had everything you could need and was well equipped. We are hoping to make this an annual event and this is our house of choice.

This place exceeded our expectations and we already talked about returning! It worked out perfectly for an old group of friends (who we all made time) to spend the weekend fishing and eating and all the things to do together! Loved that the backyard is fully fenced in bc we were able to bring along our dogs for the fun weekend too! The guys had fun taking out the kayaks and boat out into the lake too! So that was a fun amenity to the home! Unfortunately the weekend we went, the wind was terribly strong.. so we ended up not using the bonfire (but hopefully we can next time! 😅) - we weren't even sure how the fishing would be due to the weather but thankfully our group ended up catching a couple of pan fish! Thank you for hosting us! We cant wait to return!

This apartment was super cozy and warm. Everything was labeled nicely and everything we needed could be found in the kitchen and the bathroom.

great spot, close to a brown line stop but not close enough to hear the train, clean, easy to check in, would stay there again.

Jessica’s place was perfect for a weekend trip to Chicago with family. She was a very responsive and helpful host. We loved how walkable the location was - it was so easy to grab a coffee or bite and check out the farmer’s market and zoo. We highly recommend her space!

If you like me read reviews before booking a place, don't hesitate to book this place. Easy check in with lots of nearby restaurants and places to visit. Apartment was spacious, clean and had a washer and dryer which was helpful. Next time I'm in Chicago, I'll definitely book my stay here. Easy 5 stars

We had a most wonderful stay at Kayode's apartment which was very clean and matched all the descriptions in the listing and it was perfectly located for our purpose which was to be close to Hyde Park. Kayode was the perfect host and was extremely responsive and even when had a minor issue, he responded within minutes and had the issue resolved within the hour. Highly recommend Kayode as a host if you need an apartment in the Hyde Park area

No problem except for us French to find out how the cooking utensils work and in particular the hood, a manual would be good, too bad for the bad weather the exteriors would have deserved to be used but the weather is not part of the package

We came to visit family that lived in the surrounding area and we found this listing. My family sounded unsure when I told them that the location was in Decatur -but they couldn't believe it when they saw it. It's really a hidden gem in a great location. Additionally the amenities were all modern and worked well, really felt like home. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space to unwind. Our family played a bunch of board games that we brought but there were some classic games at the Airbnb. It's worth noting everyone in the family that stayed had high praise of the mattresses and bedding, some places are kind of barebones but this one was pretty good and comfortable. Throughout the house there were great labels that were easy to see while still being discreet for finding things such as towels or various cookware, just about any question we could have had was answered just with our basic walkthrough when we arrived.

Bachelorette party at Cozy Lake House was perfect! Steve was such a responsive and helpful host. He also took us out on his boat for a few hours to help celebrate the bride. We had a great time!

Overall this was a great stay. Bob was very responsive. We had one issue at check-in and Bob was literally responsive within a minute and corrected the issue right away! The backyard was a nice getaway along with the game room downstairs to hang out in.

We really enjoyed our stay and loved exploring the area. Wish we could have stayed longer and used the kayaks. Walking distance to a good beach restaurant/bar on the lake (Pinky’s) and an awesome playground right next to the lake’s beach. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice location just across from the main house, but there is a small patch of woods between them. Clean home with all the necessities, a great host, and a big bonus is they have wood provided for the fire pit.

This Home was amazing! My family loved it! It was comfortable and inviting. The neighbors were so nice and helpful! Sean responded in minutes to fix lock and after w/ all of my questions! This home is somewhere i would go back to, as well as recommend to ANYONE traveling to Decatur,Illinois… we did not want to leave

Stay was exactly as described, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed the included kayaks. The little private beach was great and we enjoyed a lot of time by the fire. The only item we did not like was the dryer set up was odd and didnt work great but otherwise no issues at all.

The place was stunning, inside and out. The couches were very comfortable. The hot tub was amazing. The view of the lake and beach was phenomenal. The beds were very comfortable. Had a great time staying here and would 10/10 recommend to others looking for a beautiful, relaxing lake house.
