If you choose to stay at one of Darren's properties you are sure to be looked after, very very pro active hosts that will go the extra mile by doing restaurant bookings, supermarket runs etc etc etc. They have always been available to accommodate guest requests to ensure you will have the best possible time in Hakuba. Location of property is in the Wadano forest area and with a cover of snow is absolutely magical If we come back to Hakuba, Darren will be our go to guy!

We stayed in "green season". The accommodation is lovely, clean and very quiet. It is about a 20 minute walk from the main area of Happo/gondola and around 40-50 minutes from Hakuba train station which for us was not a problem but is something to bear in mind. I think in ski season there would be more bars/restaurants open directly local to the property and there are shuttle buses in winter so maybe not so much of an issue then. Darren was very responsive and Grant was great with rides to/from the train station at the start and end of our stay. Overall, would recommend.

We had a great couple of days here. The apartment was spotless, warm and modern with a great view for us watch the snow falling. Darren and the team were so hospitable, helping with recommendations for ski fields, ski rentals and restaurants, as well as offering pick up/drop off for the supermarket and restaurants. The stay was so easy, would love to come back here.

LOVED THE STAY!! They allow dogs which is great and the rooms are very spacious. I love sleeping on Japanese Futons (Though people who like soft beds might not) It is in a good location for both skiing and night life. Nozawa Village is hard to get around with steep hills and narrow snowy streets but once you are checked into the stay you are set! They have a dry room but it is very small which is quite normal for Nozawa. The service was top notch and they bent over backwards to accomodate our every need. VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED!!!

So pleased we chose Hakuba Downtown Apartments for our first time to Hakuba. The unit was so spacious, modern, comfortable and clean - and the views were incredible! Couldn’t have asked for more. The location suited us perfectly - we hired a car, and loved the freedom of choosing resorts each day depending on conditions. But what set this accommodation above our expectations was the host - Pete is a legend. A top bloke who couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying at HDA - you will love it!

Seasons Apartments was a great place to stay to access the slopes. It is a very short walk to the lifts, ski hire (which has a small coffee shop), and the ski school. There are numerous restaurants in easy walking distance (make sure you book well ahead). The staff are all Australian, and friendly, helpful, and responsive with supermarket and restaurant runs, and transfers to the station if needed. I really could not fault these apartments and location, it was excellent. I will certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to ski at Hakuba.

It’s my second time staying at the Nozawa Gondola Apartments. Different room this time but just as wonderful as before. Clean nicely designed house, well equipped kitchen, and can’t ask for a better location if you’re headed for the slopes!

The barbecue is great.The room is also clean.I'd love to book again if I get the chance.

Fantastic stay, 4 minute walk to base off Kokosai lifts on Happo or 2 min walk to bus stop for valley. Exceptional customer service, responsive hosts. Great place to stay for a ski holiday with a family

The were seven of us, the apartment was very comfortable and met our needs with fully equipped kitchen etc. Justin or one of his staff was available to take us to the supermarket or for restaurant bookings when required.

Ryuichi is friendly and always respond messages quickly. The lodge is very comfortable and clean, it is spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Definitely worth staying if you are around Hakuba

The apartment in the forest was quiet and relaxing, surrounded by nature. It was impressive that we could see the stars so well.

The apartment was much nicer than what the pictures showed. A very nice place to stay for someone looking for a relaxing accommodation after a strenuous day or long drive.

Whilst the snow wasn’t what we hoped so late in the season we loved our time in Nozawa. Gab and his lovely family and staff made us so welcome as well as helping with all our questions and recommendations for ski hire and tours and the best of all, sending our excess baggage back to the airport allowing us to continue on our travels without our ski gear! The apartment was spacious and easily coped with 8 of us, perfect for larger groups. The apartment is located a 10 minute walk from main centre of town. We will be back!

I didn't check the message from the host, and it was warm, but I am very grateful for the polite response. Host is extremely friendly, The room was clean and comfortable like a hotel!
