This property is a gem of a find should you be looking for a peaceful stay with a touch of redwoods at your doorstep. The hot tub in property is the most perfect addition. Comfortable beds, tons of room, easily could sleep 6 people. Plenty of lounge space. We came during late September, so can’t speak to how comfortable it would be when in the winter months. Not much at all that I would add to improve this place.

Went here in January and had the greatest time. The views are insane, the pictures on the site do more than live up to what is shown. The owners have built something amazing in a very special place. Bring a camera. It certainly gets cold but the water for showers/tub was hot, there is a heater in the cabin, and wood is available for purchase. Dress warm in the winter! Thank you to the hosts, they were extremely helpful and responded to messages within minutes. They also recommended places to check out nearby, and they have an organized binder that describes all local attractions. The entire place was beautiful, and the supplies provided let us comfortably enjoy ourselves even having forgotten our own supplies.

The stay is private, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. The views from the room are spectacular, the bathroom is one of, if not the most relaxing looking places I’ve ever seen. The amenities are fantastic, full kitchen, beach towels, yoga mat, coffee. Laura is also a FANTASTIC chef. We ate so many wonderful things, my personal favorite was the mushroom biscuits and gravy. 11/10. It’s about a 10 minute drive to Black Rock Beach which is an absolute must-see attraction. In January, we found that a few roads were closed that were more direct, but with looking at google maps we figured it out pretty easily. The cell service is spotty outside the comfort of the Airbnb but is lightning fast on the grounds. We especially loved the stock tank hot tubs. Super cozy, romantic, and quiet. We enjoyed looking at the Milky Way at night, and watching the sunrise in the morning. Overall we left energized and ready to continue our journey along the PCH. For anyone looking for a truly beautiful, unique environment away from the maddening crowd this place is a must. There are no words - the craftsmanship, the views - it is absolutely one of a kind. We found it so relaxing we stayed an extra night. The drive to the Lost Coast and Petrolia is stunning and best of all Daisy just might be the perfect host. It's a steep climb to the top of the ridge where the "tower" is located but it's well worth the hike. We intend to make this a yearly pilgrimage. It's by far the nicest place we have ever stayed.

We loved our stay. Location was great - very peaceful and beautiful. Check in was simple and easy. The place was very modern and clean and we loved the little details. The matching retro fridge and gas stove were so charming. The hot tub was just serviced the morning of our stay and was perfectly hot and ready for us as soon as we arrived. The private fenced shared yard with the next door unit was perfect for our dog. The bed was extremely comfy. The shower was amazing. A couple touches we would’ve loved to see as they’d fit right in with the quality of the stay: robes for the walk to/from the hot tub and a bidet for the toilet. I recommend bringing a fluffy robe for that purpose. Besides that, we loved our stay and would love to return in the future.

Loved our Stay! The house was awesome and super close to Trinidad (which is an amazing little town) and multiple beaches. Everything looked just like the pictures and Tristen communicated everything from Check In to Check Out perfectly. My boys, 8 & 10, loved the bunk beds and hot tub and running around the huge yard. This house was the perfect jump off point for exploring the Redwoods and the beaches of Humboldt County. We are already looking at dates for next year.

We spent two lovely nights in the cabin with our dog to start the new year, and could not have asked for a more peaceful spot! Great local recommendations and short drive to beautiful (dog friendly) hikes.

This place was so special and exceeded my expectations! The host was very nice and provided a contact person, Monica, who made sure we had everything we needed. The locals are friendly and were happy to provide additional suggestions on where to chill along the river and places to eat/drink. The Bigfoot Steakhouse and Pizza Factory had great food and the bartender at the Forks Lounge was super cool. We loved that the home feels secluded, yet close to all we needed. Thanks Brenda & Monica for this memorable hideaway.

Maureen’s place was a cozy rustic cabin with beautiful surroundings! The horses were delightful as was the drive right through the Redwoods to get there. She gave very clear directions and great advice on what to see while there.

This cottage was the perfect one-night stay on our road trip after hoteling it for a few nights. The dunes and beach across the street were easy to access, scenic, and peaceful. Bed was super comfy. Place is pet friendly and our dog loved it.

My dog and I only stayed overnight but the cabin was a perfect stop off when traveling up 101! It’s right off the highway but feels very secluded. Amazing amenities with the washer/dryer and exercise room, though we didn’t need them this time; we did enjoy eating outside in the central picnic area. Charles was super responsive and flexible and I always appreciate a place that welcomes dogs without tons of restrictions. I’d definitely stay again and encourage anyone to book :)

Perfect spot for our quick family getaway to see the redwoods. Loved being able to walk over to the beach to watch the sunsets! There’s not many outlets in the house as it is older, so I would bring a power strip if you need multiple devices plugged in. Other than that, the place fit our needs!

Place is alright, close to a lot of stuff tho. Had a great mini trip!

Robby’s BigC will take you right into the heart of redwood national park, but that’s not the only thing that stand out from the rest, I encourage anyone who is looking for a quiet and relaxing stay to try it out, I promise you won’t be regretting it, only you will find yourself looking for excuses to extend your time at here.

This was a wonderfully cozy place to stay while my partner and I spent a few days mucking about in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The location was very convenient, and the cabin was great for the cooking, games, and comfy couch time during the long winter evenings. Mornings sitting on the little porch with coffee listening to the birds was a special bonus.

The Popeye Cottage was a perfect get-away. We loved everything about the ambiance of the unique, small cottage. From our arrival (with the light on and a warm cozy fire) to the play structure for our great grandson we felt right at home. The kitchen and bathroom were clean, well-stocked and easy to get around in. Carl was quick with immediate responses to questions. I highly recommend this cottage and Host.

Great spot! Seeing the Redwoods and area from Del Norte and down to Eureka. Cabin is in a beautiful spot, lots of beaches nearby and walking trails, great little town. Bed was very comfortable, very quiet area. Stayed by the pond which was lovely. This was a 5 day trip and location again was great to hit everything on my list. Market was very helpful,

This place is adorable!! Felt like stepping back in time to a simpler era. Besides the cute and quaint shower, the best part is that there is a huge redwood growing right next to the house! The roots even give the floor a bit of a slope - we couldn’t get enough of it. There are clear instructions printed out in the cabin, so check out was simple and concise. We will definitely come back again!

beautiful property that you could easily spend a weekend and still feel like you didn't see it all. make sure to read the instructions they will get you there! the GPS really is unreliable they are correct about that.

This was my second time at this Airbnb , I'm OBSESSED with this house. it's location is perfect tucked away in the woods and only a short drive to Trinidad beach. the town has plenty of shopping stores available just up the road. We are thinking of making an annual trip to this house so long as they stay an Airbnb. can't wait to be back!!!

Quaint, relaxing, with green and luscious surroundings as soon as you step out of the door. The host has done a wonderful job making sure that this little cabin in the woods is private, quiet, clean and comfortable with all of the amenities of home. Absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave. We’ll definitely be back!!!
