The place worked well for us and our toddler and baby. Quiet, clean, comfortable beds, close to everything and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay!

Theresa's place is an absolute gem of heavenly serenity! Located in the magical yet sleepy coastal hamlet of Shelter Cove, this is one of those rare accommodations, memories of which will last a life time. Theresa's studio is charmingly quaint and it will welcome you just as described. She's a great communicator and a very resourceful person when it comes to information about the local community as well as the redwood parks nearby. To top it off, the view of the Pacific (which is at a distance though) from the patio is just incredible. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom was squeaky clean and the studio was decked with just the right kind of furniture that you need to spend the weekend. 100% recommended, we will definitely visit again.

The house was AMAZING! The kitchen is stocked with everything needed once you've bought your groceries! The rooms were spacious and the grounds were well kept. A very beautiful home and we felt extremely comfortable staying there! Shelter Cove is a quiet beach town with lots of natural beauty, walking trails, and you've got to visit Black Sand Beach while there! Marc's house overlooks the Cove; we spent every evening watching the sun set over the ocean. What a peaceful place to be!!! On the only road in and out (Shelter Cove Rd) there is a stand of old growth Redwoods and a small parking area off the road where you can hike. A must see area while there. One thing to know is the road has many curves and some are really tight. You definitely want to plan your trip to the grocery store and get everything you need at one time - it takes about 50 minutes to the closest one in Redway. There is a small shop near the house but the prices are significantly higher there.

We love it here, that's why we went back and can't wait to go back. Home is on a dead end, very quiet, peaceful and the view is amazing. The community is very friendly and respectful, everyone made us feel at home. Stores, shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, highway, etc is within distance. I recommend Aracata, CA. be your next stop and we recommend this perfectly mind at peace Vacasa! Thank you to the host for giving us great memories.

It was even cuter than we thought it would be. Felt right at home. The shower was small, but not too small. Whatever space was lacking was made up for by the water pressure and temp. So good! The street was quiet, and the windows made it nice to overlook. Great spot!

Daniela was such an incredible host. She found that we had left a few items behind by mistake and was so conscientious to message me so we could meet up and she brought them to us! She was absolutely lovely communicating with us, incredible to meet her in person, and we are so happy and look forward to staying there again. Our daughter was previewing Cal Poly Humboldt and I hope she attends beginning this fall, so we can return! The unit was so peaceful and it felt as though you had the forest to yourself just off your patio. 4 young doe greeted us in the morning. It was incredible!

Simple and comfortable place to stay in the village of Trinidad. Walkable to the harbor, market, breakfast, fresh seafood market. It is not fancy, but it is roomy and clean. Our family of 4 would definitely stay there again. We had a great time hiking the redwoods and beaches and do not need fancy digs with a hot tub and sweeping views (plenty fantastic views nearby). That said, there is a nice little backyard with table and chairs. Very enjoyable stay.

This is one of the best AirBnB’s that I’ve ever stayed in, and I traveled for work for five years so I’ve stayed in A LOT of them. Larry’s place is awesome and you should stay there, especially if you want to explore Arcata Plaza and the surrounding area. The entrance, furnishings, kitchen supplies, TV, apartment heater, and the bed were all incredible. The place is super comfortable and yet convenient to all of the amenities of downtown Arcata. Larry was very helpful and responsive throughout my stay. This is a fantastic place to stay in downtown Arcata. If you get the opportunity, book here! You won’t regret it!

Shannon's place was a nice spot, central to a lot of things nearby. I was able to walk to most places. I appreciated the closeness to restaurants, bars, and the Co-op store. She was also very responsive with my questions and things that came up. I would bring extra layers. Not sure if I could have gotten the heat to get warmer, but it was cooler in the apartment. The place was comfortable and spacious.

This was the BEST stay for me and my partner! Felt very private, we were able to take plenty of walks around the neighborhood without feeling like we were disturbing the neighbors or nature, and Jamal and Michelle had plenty of great recommendations for food and activities in the area. It truly felt like such a gift to stay in such a beautiful location with incredible people and stunning nature. Can’t wait to come back soon!!

Katie was so knowledgeable on the area, and helped inform us on the area like no other local could! When we first walked into the house the smell of freshly baked bread filled the room. She made us bread to eat! I ate that bread every day I was there. Delicious. The kitchen was clean and had plenty of the amenities/tools a kitchen should have. We cooked every day rather than going out because we enjoyed cooking there so much! The rooms are tidy and comfy. The washer and dryer were a plus! Having the outside patio area was peaceful and nice to have. So close to cal poly and so close to downtown, yet with plenty of privacy. I recommend Katie’s place wholeheartedly!

We loved staying here! It was the perfect base for our visit to the Redwoods. The whole space was clean and the hot tub was a great bonus! Perfect for relaxing after a day filled with hiking. It was convenient to nearby eateries too. Would recommend!

The house/ apartment is an old Victorian (Edwardian?) so it was very charming, warm and comfortable. The neighborhood is likewise. Even though the street is moderately busy with traffic it was a quiet and calm place to be. Unfortunately I was only in town for work which kept me busy from before dawn to after sunset so I never had a chance to walk the neighborhood during daylight hours. But from all observation the surrounds looks like a quiet and humble neighborhood of family houses and yards. Admittedly, nothing is too far away from anywhere else in Eureka so a longer stay would have enabled some nice walking tours of the very notable architecture throughout the neighborhood. Despite the old traditional nature of the home, the bathroom and kitchen was modernized and very comfortable. I can readily recommend staying at Amy’s place.

This was an amazing find! The place was beautiful, clean, and exactly what we were looking for to have a quiet Thanksgiving - we made our whole Thanksgiving meal here! The views were incredible and the unit was set up to make the most of them. Simy, the host, was so responsive and friendly. We’d love to go back!

The rental was as advertised, nice calm location with a great scenery, reasonable price too

The apartment was perfect for our family, and was very close to downtown. Our kids loved the backyard and ping pong table. The beds were very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the internet was a little slow (this may be local issue). We would definitely recommend.

Fantastic space! My coworker and I stayed here for vacation multiple days and found it to be perfect for what we needed! Great amenities, super clean, and had everything we needed. Hosts were so detailed with what we needed to know and incredibly responsive. I would love nothing more than to stay at this place again. Amazing hosts!

The place was very clean and roomy! There is some noise above you, so be prepared if you are a light sleeper. The hot tub was clean and hot and the pictures do not do it justice for its privacy!
