Host goes above and beyond to welcome you. Mini fridge and half size sink, burners don’t get to high heat so this is mostly for simple things like soup or reheating. However they made use of every inch so there’s a toaster oven and microwave and pots and pans. Views to die for much closer to the national park than anywhere else.

The place was perfect for my friend and I on a road trip. It was waking distance to everything you need. Very thoughtfully and artsy decorated. The space was so interesting and comfortable! I definitely recommend staying at Johanna’s Arcata home! We’ll be back again for sure!!

It was a magical stay for my cat Marty and I! The redwoods in the backyard are splendid and the tiny house was super comfortable. I throughly enjoyed the stay. One of my favorite airbnbs so far. The host is the absolute best too!

Definitely worth the money for the amenities, privacy and convenient location to town. I feel like all coastal homes have that wet-scent but otherwise had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay and more. The walkable paths in the back are note-worthy as well. Thank you.

Amy’s place is cozy and clean, have everything you need for a short stay. This place is perfect for a couple. We spent three nights here when we visited the Redwood National Park. It is about thirty minutes drive to the park. We enjoyed the place very much and had a great time. We definitely recommend it to anyone who comes to visit Redwood National Park. Amy and her team do a great job maintaining the house and providing all the necessary stuff you may need.

What a charming little cottage in a beautiful and convenient location! Celine was so kind and helpful. She was so warm and welcoming to us and our dog, and she recommended trails and a dog park for us to visit. Location was conveniently near good restaurants and scenic places. I loved this place. Comfy bed. Amazing bathroom. The wifi worked great and I also got a few bars of TMobile service. If it’s cold weather season, ask them to turn on heat well before you arrive and they also have an extra space heater if needed.

I'm a 72yo husband to a much younger woman of 69. There are amenities that are inconsequential for much younger travelors that matter moreso to the silver crowd. Understand that nothing I add here subtracts from the accommodations listed, they are only observations near and dear to weary geriatrics. The unit is up a flight of stairs that are attached to the exterior of the building. This is a non-issue to travelers younger than I. The bathroom has been meticulously remodeled. Shower has a wide entry door with a minimum of threshold so no stubbed toes. However, the large shower has no grab bars which is concerning when you can't open your eyes while rinsing or turning. I have found that not all commodes are the same height so be aware this unit has a very low landing height without a grab point to resurrect one to upright. Nonetheless, the unit remains a fantastic lodging experience and in no way should my observations deter an informed traveler from selecting Scott's great offering.

This house truly was an oasis. Not only is it driving distance to countless hikes amongst the Redwoods but it is surrounded by nature in itself. Between Trinidad and Arcata you have everything you need. The house is beautiful, spacious, well thought out and had everything we needed. Heather and Eric were excellent hosts who provided a ton of great recommendations for our stay and were very responsive to all of our needs. We highly recommend a stay here for adults and families looking for a place to stay while enjoying the incredible nature this area has to offer!
