Kamal is a very responsive , serious host who enjoys welcoming, delighting and sharing his country! The accommodation matches the photos presented . We appreciated Kamal's great availability, the remarkable quality of the meals prepared by Nadir , the possibility of being taken easily and for free to the surroundings , the ability to call on Kamal's service as a guide and the ability to rent a scooter! Very valuable! The location is great and the beach at 50 m is comparable to a private beach, superb, very clean with food or a drink ... Beautiful moments shared with Kamal ... If we were to return to Sri Lanka , we would come right away to Kamal's!

First of all, I liked the location, a very nice beach, close to everything you need, cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, a store, a pharmacy, a hospital and even a police station. Very nice and kind, not intrusive hosts. We were worried that the train and the temple would interfere with our vacation, but we did not hear the temple ever, and the train only during the day, but it drove so quickly that we did not always understand that it was him. Very friendly hosts, treated us to coconuts and bananas, it was a pleasure.

Amazing place with chilled vibrations, surfbreaks in walking distance, lots of nice people and the best Pizza around. Kroot and Romina are such lovely hosts. Highly recommended. Extended my stay and will definetly come back! Thanks for hosting me!

Beautiful house! Got a complimentary drink on arrival. Lovely host very welcoming. Great location, near beach and walkable area to restaurants. We saw monkeys in the trees which was amazing!! Aircon works very well, good sleep.

The stay was really great! The place is beautifully situated right by the beach. From the room you can hear the sea. And Rajitha and his family are very nice and helpful. Had a real good time. Thank you!

Our stay at Sleepy Head Guesthouse was great. The guesthouse is in the back of the owners house and has three floors. The room was clean, well working A/C, small fridge, big bathroom. The beach is very close (~5min walk) and you can walk via beach to the city centre (~15min) or take a Tuk Tuk. Bus stop is also around the corner. The breakfast from Darshakas mum was great, we loved it. She also gives cooking lessons but unfortunately we had only short time. Communication was easy and Darshaka and his family are very lovely hosts. We recommend staying there and would come again.

We were here w/ my girlfriend for a week and we can completely say that's a great place w/ great peoples :) Everything the same as on photos and even better! That's an entire villa w/ large courtyard and w/out any other people, just you, lake and nature. Our host Nupina is awesome! He helped us w/ any of our cases like transfer from airport, contacts, local rules etc.. He has a lot of contacts for surfing, diving, photo shoot, tuk-tuk drivers, etc... If we had any questions we could just ask him and he helped every time :) We even keep in touch after we left this great place. We recommend this place 100%.

Such a nice place with small courtyard. Right at the beach next to the beach break as well as the main reef break. Host and the other people in the accommodation were very lovely. Perfect place to stay for surfing!

Great value for money. Good location and spacious place.

We had a great stay, this is up there with one of the best apartments we have stayed in. The apartment is set in a lovely garden, with a whole host of different sounds of animals and birds throughout the day. The kitchen, lounge area, bathroom and bedroom, were fitted to a high standard. It was great to sit out on the porch in the mornings for breakfast. The host was very responsive and so helpful with any requests made. There were a number of shops within 5 minutes walk, and the town was just 20 - 25 minutes walk. The beaches in the area are absolutely stunning, with many beach bars/ cafes, and are accessible within a 30 minute walk, or 5 - 10 minutes in a Tuk Tuk. Highly recommend.

A beautiful spot on the beach , easy access to tuk tuks, and nice to have meals made on site if needed. We enjoyed our stay and my kids loved the pool and beach.

Loved staying here! This is a two-bedroom place with A/C in each room, a fully stocked kitchen (stove, blender, all the necessary dishes), and even a washing machine! The location is central, not too noisy but everything is nearby, within walking distance - Bus station, Railway station, Food City, fruit vendors, tailors. The beach is just a 3-minute walk away. The best part is the terrace though, great for having breakfast, yoga, exercise or just chilling with a book. Plenty of fans and anti-mosquito stuff in the apartment. The owner, Sanath, is a very sweet and accommodating gentleman who a pleasure to talk to, always treated us with some snacks and even helped us get to one of the more distant beaches once (one of us can’t ride a bike).

We really enjoyed our holiday in this apartment. Faris was super friendly, he always helped us when we needed something, there was not one thing he couldn‘t manage! The check-in was easy and fast, when we arrived at the lodge, Faris was immediately there and showed us around. He also helped us with the sri lankan sim cards and the mobile wifi-router. Also, the location was fantastic! The lodge is directly on the beach and supermarkets, cafés/restaurants and everything else you need is right around the corner. I will definitely come again, thank you Faris!!
