Vacation rentals with a pool in Highland Council

We had an amazing few days at The Thistle. The van is beautifully kitted out with everything you could possibly need. Everything is catered for, down to cooking oil, tin foil, kitchen roll. All the things that are normally forgotten. The beds were very comfy and linens of a high quality. It was a home from home. The van is right on the shoreline and the beach and views are beautiful. Dornoch is only a few miles away and has some lovely restaurants but there is an onsite restaurant and pub too. Tanya went over and above for our stay and we greatly appreciated it. Great stay at a very family friendly location (great for young children). Very charming location and amazing history if you are into that sort of thing. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. We had one minor hiccup that we resolved very quickly (not at all the host’s fault) and he got back to our inquiry within the half hour. If you are exploring the Great Glen or Loch Ness, I cannot think of a better place to base out of.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. The cottage was well kept and very homely. It was ideal for our family with everything we needed. The location was fantastic. Great walks for the dogs, both at the cottage and nearby (some recommended by the owner). As well as close to a number of child friendly locations and activities for our 7 year old. A large Tesco was nearby as well as some great restaurants. We found it very relaxing and enjoyed watching the garden birds, red squirrel, and local deer. The owner was very helpful, with quick responses, and all relevant information provided in advance. The only point we have to note was the limited water pressure for the shower. The owner did make us aware of this in advance of the visit. Although low pressure, it was also still sufficient, clean, and worked so we could have a shower. Thanks again to Ashley for all her support throughout and her beautiful holiday home.

We loved our stay here. It is exactly as advertised and the views looking out across Loch Linnhe were stunning. It was perfect for what we needed. Andrew was a great host and helped us get settled nice and quickly. I’d recommend to anyone looking to visit Fort William and the surrounding area and would love to visit again myself!

The apartment was perfect: luxurious yet cosy, very well appointed and in the best location, overlooking Loch Ness. The surroundings are breathtaking, we walked part of the South Loch Ness Trail and the Great Glenn Way, both well signposted and well maintained. It was a great short holiday, many thanks.

We enjoy this cottage so much that this is the 3rd time we have been. The perfect place to relax.

Great place , would return on next visit

Our time at the Highland Club and in the Scriptorium was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed every minute and were always excited to return "home" and unwind. The atmosphere was incredibly romantic, with beautiful architecture that felt cozy and inviting. The entire vibe of the abbey was nostalgic, making it a joy to stroll through, especially with Loch Ness right there to offer stunning views. The facilities were superb, from the pool and steam room to the lounge where we enjoyed games of pool and chess. Once again, the rooms were simply beautiful and perfect for relaxation. It served as a great starting point for exploring the Highlands. What a charming little place! We truly enjoyed our stay and are so glad we chose such a lovely location!

Stayed for 3 nights with my partner, just before Christmas as we were visiting family in Lossiemouth. Lindsay was super helpful and communicative as soon as we booked. The caravan was perfect, bigger than expected, very clean and comfortable. It was a wet windy cold weekend but once the heating was on, the caravan was lovely and warm. Gorgeous location right on the beach. We will definitely look at staying again (hopefully in the warmer weather!) so we can enjoy the location a bit more. Overall a perfect stay.
