Monthly Rentals in Hāwera

My husband and I loved Lisa's place. When we drove up, 2 cows and 2 sheep sauntered up to the fence to greet us. And when we walked inside, we both felt immediately at home: it was so spacious, so comfortable and clean, so attractively appointed -- we just knew it was a place we could fully relax and do a major mid-trip re-org of our stuff, laundry included. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was the best we've encountered in AirBnb's in NZ: fully equipped AND space to actually spread out and cook. Lisa is very warm and friendly, and we were fascinated to learn why she calls her place The Shelter -- be sure to ask her! Also ask about her previous experience in the "tourism industry," and what she was doing before -- very cool! Lastly, we loved staying on a working dairy farm. It was so peaceful to look out the window and see all those cows grazing -- and to hear birds singing and the occasional baa or moo.

a gorgeous retreat with magnificent views of Taranaki Maunga. thoroughly enjoyed our time here, private and rural but still super close to town, highly recommend!

Kelly and Christina were very welcoming. They went above and beyond with tasteful touches and plenty of food and treats. The space you get is MUCH bigger than a standard B&B. Lovely gardens too. And if you can play there’s a baby grand piano available! Thank you
