The views were amazing and the house was perfect for us. We felt like we were remote but were close enough to the stores and other areas of interest.

Tim has an incredible home and beautiful views. The waterfront property is so serene and the space had everything my group of friends needed. Tim was also very responsive and accommodating to us and we very much appreciated that. Wish we could have stayed longer, would recommend!

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Dana and Ross’ place for a surprise trip for my husband’s 30th birthday and absolutely loved it. It’s a beautiful home with great amenities, an amazing view, and so peaceful. We made two trips to Acadia and felt it was an easy drive to and from the park. We loved the lake view and feeding their chickens. We will definitely be back!

We saw and heard loons which made the entire trip worth it. Dean even messaged me in on day of check in to let me know some were around. We loved watching all the wildlife near house. Star gazing was fun too and my husband saw couple shooting stars. House was cozy and we loved the photography that decorated each room. We had a wonderful vacation and would stay here again.

This welcoming home is spotless and cozy. Situated on the bank of a picturesque lake, we were greeted by the peaceful sounds of nature and lovely shades of fall colors. The thoughtful hosts had left tasty treats on the table for us, along with local suggestions. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were clean. It was an easy drive to Acadia and the coast as well as into the north Maine woods. Beautiful and cozy place. Had a great stay. Since we visited during Fall season, the place was peaceful and full of Fall colors. Acadia national park is nearby and has some great places to visit during leaf peeping time.

Camp Chickadee was a beautiful and peaceful retreat. Greatly enjoyed the scenery and wildlife of Molasses Pond. Instructions and information for the stay, check-in and check-out were very clear and Ron was proactive in reaching out prior to stay. Appreciated the local recommendations for the area, as well as the kayaks for exploring the pond. Was a great base for exploring Acadia National Park while having a scenic and private retreat to come back to at the end of the day. Looking forward to visiting Eastbrook again in the future!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The views were lovely, the lake was refreshing, the beds were comfortable, lots of kitchen stuff, and the showers were hot. The house mostly has what you need. It could use a few more dish towels and bath towels. The long drive to Acadia got tiresome.

Excellent vibes at this place. Genuinely stunning views, especially at sunrise/sunset, and the house was perfect for hanging out after a day of hiking at Acadia. The place was slightly farther from the hikes we wanted to do than we thought, but the drive was beautiful so who cares. I would definitely recommend downloading your directions to the house before you lose service. The beds were super comfy and the place was clean. Thanks so much for such a great stay!

Can’t say enough about Craig’s beautiful lakeside cottage. If you like remote, peaceful and being close to nature this is for you. The house and contents seemed brand new and they had thought of everything we could want, right down to pancake mix, maple syrup and Maine blueberries for our breakfasts. An easy drive to Acadia. Craig was communicative, friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay and hope we’ll be back.

Such a beautiful cozy location. Very easy driving distance to Bangor, and so nice to be able to come back to the peace and quiet of the lake. Robert was very helpful and communicative. Would definitely stay here again

One of the most beautiful and peaceful places we have stayed at. It was perfect for our honeymoon. The cabin was clean, quiet, and comfortable. You felt right at home and there were some personal touches with fresh flowers and a carved Jack-o-lantern . The cabin is located around 45 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Maureen was very responsive and helpful in her communication. We would definitely recommend this and definitely will be back!

Loved our stay here... We were here for work .. so didn't spend as much time enjoying the water .. but, definitely couldn't wait to get back(and drove a little too fast ) to get back to this peaceful, beautiful place after a 10 hour day ! Gus & Kyle pay attention to every detail ! Well stocked kitchen, spa like bathroom, oversized washer/dryer, games if you have time.. and every attention to detail you can think of.. Beautiful sunsets and loved the mist & visiting ducks in the morning.. Will definitely come back when we can take advantage of the watersports ! Thank you Gus & Kyle.. The love you have for your home shows !

stay was great and worth the visit

Incredibly beautiful location that makes you feel like you have all of Tunk Lake to yourself. Was so appreciative to have the kayaks and canoe on site to use, and was pleasantly surprised to find an incredible hike that gave views out to Acadia and over the ocean only a 5 minute drive away. House was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with great pots, pans and cutlery. Sitting by the fire and listening to the loons call at night was another highlight, along with watching the sunrise over the lake from the dock.

A wonderfully charming spot to stay while exploring Acadia national Park and the surrounding areas. Rita was a delight, with fantastic instructions on how to find the place, recommendations for current happenings around town, and she was very responsive for any and all questions I may have had. The pictures don’t do this property justice, I highly recommend!

The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Everything you need for cooking is already there. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, wifi was amazing. We went kayaking one day and it was beautiful. There are tons of rocks just below the surface of the water near the islands but you can see them because the water is so clear. The drive to the cabin is a long gravel road and thankfully we have 4WD because it might have been harder to get up the driveway from the cabin if we didn’t. There were loons on the pond every day and night but they were fun to see and hear. We also had some hummingbirds visit the feeder at the cabin and loved watching them our whole stay. The water from the faucet is from the lake but it’s so clear you almost wouldn’t know it. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, natural place to relax.

Steven’s cabin and land were the perfect spot for camping. The place was clean and beautiful with so much space on their property. The space was perfect for two people and a dog, although if you had two more people it would be fine too. They have everything you need to cook, clean, shower, make fires, kayak, and grill. He provided clear instructions on how to get there and it was very easy to find with those. If I ever were to go back to Acadia National Park, I would definitely look to book here again - it was a great peaceful stay!

Beautiful cabin, in a very nice area if you’re interested in going to Bangor and Bar Harbor. The town nearby, Ellsworth, offers the necessities! The road was rough, but I can’t really complain in the off-season, and my truck isn’t suited for roads like that, which is no fault of the Airbnb itself! Would gladly stay here again

The house was even cuter in person. Right off the water with plenty of thoughtful amenities like hot chocolate and toothbrushes. Reasonable location if you plan on going into Bangor or Orono and a day trip to Acadia was perfectly doable.
