Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Romantic lake cabin for two, floating on our peaceful one-acre lake in ancient woodland. Relax by the cosy log burner, cook in the fully fitted kitchen, and wake to magical lake views from the bedroom. In spring, enjoy the woodland with bluebells and delicate flowers; summer brings long golden evenings over the lake, and autumn paints the trees in rich, vibrant colours. Step outside to gentle ripples, watch wildlife, or visit East Hoathly village with its café, shop, and pub just minutes away.

The space
Inside our beautifully decorated rustic houseboat you will find a stunning living area with incredible views across the lake. A log burner, fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar equipped with all your foodie needs, modern luxury bathroom with walk in shower, a double aspect view bedroom and an abundance of windows that allow the outside in.
Experience the wildlife around, including our returning Canadian geese who will bring their new babies to visit, along with our resident King Fishers and a vast variety of other species. With a little imagination you could almost be standing in a Monet masterpiece.
Lewes, Brighton, Eastbourne, along with many other lovely places and attractions are all within a short driving distance.

Early checkin and late checkout may be available for a small fee, subject to availability.

Winter stays made cosy: During the colder months from October to May, you can add our Winter Cabin Pack for just £10, including a full basket of hand-chopped logs, kindling and firelighters from our own woodland, all perfectly sized for the burner and ready on arrival. An additional basket of logs is also included if needed during your stay, so you can relax and enjoy a warm, cosy cabin experience.

Guest access
There is private parking for guests and your own entrance. You have your own decking platforms to enjoy the amazing views and relax. You can walk to the village where you’ll find a small cafe, village shop and pub.

Other things to note
Just to note.
As the houseboat floats on water we like to make our guests aware that you do get some slight movement in the cabin. There is a long pathway to walk to the houseboat of about 80m we’d like to make guests aware of for carry luggage etc.. the pathway is shingled.
Although our houseboat is tucked in tranquil, ancient woodland, we are fairly close to the A22 which is fantastic for accessing all the excellent locations and activities around us. Many of our guests find our houseboat peaceful, those who are particularly sensitive to noise may notice passing traffic at times, including early morning hours. Please read our many reviews, this will give you an idea of what our guests have experienced.

There is another cabin on site, this is situated around 40 meters away from the Houseboat.
