Situated within a two and a half meter security wall on 25 acres of the finest land on the south coast of Kenya.
Waterside villa comprises four very large bedroom/sitting rooms.
In addition there is a smaller room with two beds attached to one of the larger bedrooms giving a total sleeping capacity of 10 persons. Ocean frontage. Helipad.
The space
The Villa
This villa is exceptionally private and completely invisible from any other accommodation on our site or elsewhere.
Set on a clifftop directly overlooking the ocean, it is positioned just to the right of the beach, approximately 50 metres away. Easily manageable stone steps lead directly down to the sand, giving you quick and private beach access.
The villa sits within a 25-acre walled estate, which also contains two other villas, all carefully positioned to ensure privacy.
Because of its security, discretion, and seclusion, this villa is frequently chosen by Nairobi-based and other African diplomatic missions. We have also hosted several Hollywood guests, and Kevin Costner is booked to stay on the property later this year.

We offer the services of professional chefs who can prepare almost anything you wish.
Chef service is available at an additional cost of €15 per day, covering preparation of all three meals
Menus are flexible and can be tailored to your entire group
Fresh seafood such as prawns, crab, calamari, fish, and lobster can be ordered (lobster subject to availability)
Please give 24 hours’ notice for fresh seafood orders
Payment is made on arrival
A minimum of two days’ notice is required for main grocery shopping
You are also welcome to self-cater — the kitchen is fully equipped.

He will handle all shopping

Security: Please be aware that due to our business with Diplomatic missions and other NGO's we have a security policy that only allows accredited taxis/transfers onto our property. Tuk Tuks and unknown motor cycles (Boda Bodas) will not be given access to the interior. We pride ourselves on privacy.
Transfers
We have had on a number of occassions incidences when Tuk Tuks and taxis claim to know the way to our place.
They convieniently get lost and end up charging clients far more than the quoted fare.
Our own transfer vehicles and drivers have been with us for years, they know the way and we trust them completely.
Upon booking you will receive a factsheet with all transfer prices and lots more.
Airbnb has a policy on bugs and insects. I doubt if there is anywhere in Africa or any other continent for that matter where you will not find some form of what we call Dudus. i.e Something that is small and moves or flies around. Could be anything from an ant to a grasshopper etc etc. At the moment there are swarms of locusts affecting the northern part of Kenya and our neighbours to the north Sudan and Somalia. We have not been affected here in any way but it is our duty as a host to inform guests of their existence.

Neighborhood highlights
In the immediate vicinity there are many scenic walks, and a few hundred meters along the reef at low tide are the magnificent Tiwi rock pools.
It is also a beautiful walk along the reef and beach to the Tiwi river. Here you will find magnificent sunsets silhouetting the ancient Baobab trees near the old Congo mosque, a building dating back centuries.
The river is home to many birds including the rare nightjar heron.
Diani, a popular European tourist destination is 12 kms away to the south. There you will find banks, restaurants, supermarkets, boutiques, bars, discos, casinos, car rental, hospitals, dentists and an 18-hole championship golf course.
Deep sea fishing and any kind of safari can also be arranged from there.
A nearby hotel in Tiwi offers windsurfing, diving, squash and tennis and a very modern gym.
The nearest game park to Keringet is the Shimba Hills Reserve, just 20 min. drive away. The park is famed for it's elephants, cape buffalo and the rare sable antelope. Further a field but still only a few hours by car is the largest game reserve in the world, Tsavo National Park.
Here you will find all the big game Africa has to offer, including rhinoceros.
There are air links from the local Ukunda airstrip to all other major parks in Kenya. Mainly to the famed Maasai Mara, a mere one and a half hour flight.
In addition, the marine parks of Shimoni and Kisite are less than half an hour away by car.
Tanzania is only a one hour drive down a sealed bitumen road.
Mombasa is serviced by Moi International airport and the town itself has just recently achieved city status. Almost anything can be bought or made in this thriving, historically important old Swahili town. Mombasa has a rail link to Nairobi, Uganda and soon to southern Sudan.
Over the last few months we have also witnessed turtle hatching's on our beach.

Came to Kenya from Australia in 1972 after finishing the first of an eventual 7 overland trips across the Sahara desert from London to Kenya.
Once I saw the coast here I never had a permanent residence elsewhere.
Projects: In 1990 we started the now famed Funzi Furniture workshops in Tiwi
building beautiful furniture. We also design and build our own villas.
My personal hobbies are building cars from scratch.
Sabine arrived in Kenya 30 years ago after a successful career on the pro windsurfing tour.
She now has a squirrel rehabilitation hospital on our veranda.
We now have some fabulous professionally done videos of our property.
