Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kwale County

We loved staying at Familia House! Everyone was very welcoming and nice! The place was also incredible for our family of four! This was our first time in Diani and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay! Beach is less than 10 min walk away. They also have amazing dogs Mikki and Lala!😭❤️❤️ The chef was also amazing!! 10/10 experience, can’t wait to come back again in future!

Waterside villa was an utterly relaxing, beautiful, huge villa with so many out door spaces to sit and get hypnotised by the ocean. So much nature, monkeys, frogs, birds, bats, beautiful trees and garden with the ocean at the bottom, it couldn't have been better. The generous pool was the icing on the cake and our boys loved playing in it and so did we! The team of Daniel, Mildred and Martin did a fantastic job of looking after us and cooked us 3 meals a day. It really was an incredible relaxing holiday and we were all totally spoilt. Highly recommend and already planning our next trip!

We had a great time at Villa Shaanti! Perfect for our getaway. Communication with Torunn was easy and She was accommodating to our needs. The staff was great and very helpful and on hand to help with what was needed. Torunn also recommended a great Chef! I'm glad we took this option. I highly recommend Villa Shaanti!

We are absolutely impressed with the accommodation! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the chef spoiled us with exceptional dishes – every food was a real highlight. Thanks to the warm care, we felt safe and well cared for the entire time. The private pool and direct access to a beautiful, quiet beach are special benefits. The somewhat remote location also creates an idyllic and pristine atmosphere. We highly recommend this place and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Angela place is awesome, a perfect home away from home. Very clean too. All supplies and amenities to ensure a comfortable stay are available. The home is very neat to. And is just awesome, a great communicator and a very hospitable person. Angela & her sister took on they own time to show me a magical Creek near they place «  KMA mtwapa », and other places … I’ve to mention Eric what a wonderful guest taker as well as 4* Chef thank you again for all the dinners ( shout out for the vegan meals ). Her place was definitely worth its value!! You will love it.

Excellent stay at Kivuli Camp ! In 2 days we were able to spot giraffes, elephants and lions among other species ! Road are very well maintained, great house, could be a bit more private as there’s no door, so always someone coming in and out. Private chief James and his team prepared good meals, on time. Big reserve, need to spend some time driving around to spot animals.

johns house is truly a hidden gem. the views from every room and balcony are absolutely spectacular. Th staff on the ground are available round the clock and are very helpful and welcoming. We had a great day out with driver Chengo who showed us some of the mist see spots in the neighborhood. Chef John prepared excellent meals for us daily. the housekeeping and security staff were also very helpful and friendly to us during our stay. We spotted dozens of elephants every evening from the balcony and also had many bush babies visit at night. wonderful stay.

Beautiful and large house, garden, and beach. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, in-house chef made delicious food, the beach was basically private and the owners communicated well with us. The location is fairly remote but even without our own transport, we were able to take a taxi to diani without a problem. The beach itself is fairly shallow so massive swims are not really an option but snorkeling works and it is still very beautiful. Would come here again any day. Thank you team!

Chale Reefs is a beautiful and peaceful retreat in a quiet area of the Msambweni coast. The house is stylish and comfortable and full of character. There are several large bedrooms, seating areas (inside and out) and a lovely private swimming pool. The house staff are kind and experienced and try their hardest to look after their guests with delicious food and other services which can be agreed with the house manager. The beach is natural and without the hustle and bustle of Diani. Highly recommended.

The house is beautifully presented with 4 enormous double bedrooms, two with equally enormous balconies. The pictures do not do the property justice. Mzuri House is part of a well run little complex. Security is ever present and you feel perfectly at ease at all times. The house feels very private and is 20M from the quieter Galu Beach, an extension of Diani beach. Sails and Salty Squid restaurants are excellent and only 100M. However the main attractions at Mzuri House are Liz the housekeeper and Shee the chef. Both were amazing hosts. Liz will communicate with before you arrive. She will arrange everything for you from airport pick-ups to restaurant bookings as well as keep the house spotless. Shee the chef prepares delicious breakfasts and lunch and / or dinner. All meals were extraordinary local dishes that our usually difficult to please 3 kids devoured! We can not recommend Mzuri House enough and in particular Liz and Shee.

The place is beautiful and well maintained, the beach is not far and the pool right behind the backdoor will ensure your daily necessary refreshment. The hosts and their staff are good people and we also got along quite well with the dog. We only had some struggles with the internet, which was sometimes challlenging, because we work remotely. But all in all we highly recommend this place!

If you are looking for peace and quiet by the beach, this is it!!! The staff is excellent, the food outstanding, and the tranquility from another planet. Bring a book.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Mutindi house. It was clean, the staff was great and Sandra did a great job communicating throughout our stay. Would definitely go back again!

Everything is perfect, remember to start the fan a few hours before sleep. Go to the host for dinner at least once and get advice from the houseboy on tuk tuk ride prices etc.

Great Place!! We really enjoyed our stay at Shalom. It was just what our family needed. Quiet and serene, close to the beach and other family friendly activities. Our kids enjoyed the pool. Lots of restaurants nearby. Place was clean and caretakers were responsive. We felt right at home.

Amazing stay. Beautiful place. The included cook and maid were absolutely fantastisk. We wanted to go out and eat but quality of the food made us both stay in and convinced us to prolong our stay! The beach is lovely but as in all of Diani big difference in the tide. At high tide the beach is almost gode and the wawes are great for boogieboarding. At lov tide there is beautiful snorkling and reefwalking. If the Wales are too much at high tide then the pool is lovely and tranquil. The supermarked is a short walking or tuktuk distance but the staff did all our shopping as well as advicing on activities to do and Who to contact. All together top rating from us!

We had the most spectacular time in the wantano house. The location is fabulous and the house is very spacious and accommodating .The garden is spectacular and fairy tale. The children were fascinated and enchanted by the garden and loved the pool. We enjoyed having meals outside with the delicious food served by the crew. You wake up to the sound of the sea and each room has a beautiful view of the beach. You walk out from the garden onto the magnificent white sand The hosts were extremely helpful and always available. We felt very secure with the full time security on the premises. We highly recommend this house.

Melissa’s villa is exactly as described close to the best beach in Mombasa access via a 10 minute walk, the swimming pool is excellent, very clean and during our stay was virtually unused by other quests on the complex. The villa has plenty of space to unwind would definitely recommend.
