Indulge yourself in the winter wonderland at Lake Tahoe! 15 minutes drive to Palisades Tahoe (Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadow), 7 minutes to Homewood, 35 minutes to Northstar Resort. There are also nordic ski / snowshoeing trails in the vicinity of the property. You will be in the middle of the winter fun.
The house is equipped with all essentials for a weekend getaway with family or friends. Just pack up your winter gears and enjoy all Tahoe has to offer. Family friendly; remote working friendly.

The space
Nestled in the "Sunnyside" neighborhood on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, this 4BR/3BA house has all it has to offer all year round. We call it "Waldhütte" (German: forest hut) because it is surrounded by towering pine trees. Highlights include a gourmet kitchen, two separate living areas, and an outdoor spa. Unwind in the hot tub after a day of skiing or hiking, enjoy the spacious backyard and the BBQ grill, or walk to William Kent Beach located less than a mile away.

Discover the charm of nearby local eateries such as Fire Sign Cafe or West Shore Market. Enjoy direct access to the 23-mile long TCPUD multi-use bike trail system along the west shore of Lake Tahoe.


LIVING AREA

The living area is divided into two separate areas -- one with a gas fireplace and the other with the gas/wood-burning fireplace. It is ideal for families and large groups to entertain indoors with streaming services (Apple TV or Roku) or board games and toys stored in the bookcase.


KITCHEN & DINING

The gourmet kitchen has all it requires to make a warm home cooked meal. Kitchen gadgets include a microwave, blender, toaster, a rice cooker, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, and water kettle.

The dining table seats 6 people and can be expanded to seat 10.


BED & BATH

The master suite is furnished with a king size bed, an antique armchair, and a mini office desk. The en-suite master bath includes a shower-tub and two separate vanity sinks. You can also find a baby crib in the closet of the master bedroom.

The second bedroom features another king-size bed. The third and forth bedroom each have queen-size bunk beds (queen over queen). In the hallway, the shared bath is outfitted with a shower and a heated toilet with bidet.


OUTDOOR AREAS

Step outside through the double door of the living room into the spacious backyard with a flagstone patio. Breathe in the fresh air with the pine scent. Fire up the propane grill to prepare a summer barbecue; or soak up in the outdoor hot tub under the stars.


REMOTE WORK SETUP

There are three workstations with wide screen monitors and keyboard/mouse ready for you to plug in your laptop and dial in your meetings remotely. Gigabit wireless high-speed internet is available.


ADDITIONALS

Washer and dryer can be found in the garage. The garage can fit one large or two smaller vehicles. Up to 4 additional vehicles can fit on the private driveway.

Neighborhood highlights

The property is located in the Sunnyside neighborhood on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, just a quick 5 mins drive from Tahoe City downtown. There are cute eateries and local grocery stores just down the street from the house (about a 10 mins walk). Near the Sunnyside restaurant and lodge you could also find the William Kent beach. Just a short walk to the south will bring you to the Kilner Park, where there is a tennis court, a playground, and a basketball court.
