The space
The room is large with a king-size bed, wardrobe and dressing table. We can add an additional single bed to the room by request.
There is an en suite shower room and a separate WC with wash basin. The room is completely self-contained via an external staircase. There are tea and coffee making facilities, but no cooking facilities. There is a smart TV and Wi-Fi.
We are a friendly family who live at the premises. We have school age children, so we aren't silent, but there won't be any late night noise either.
There are working dogs on the premises, but never in the room. They are friendly, however for their safety please ensure the gate is closed securely at all times. The dogs will never be left unattended in the garden while guest are visiting.

Neighborhood highlights

We are located on the Burrough Farm national trust walk. We have Torridge 1610 gym and pool and sauna within a 1 minute walk. Both Northam Burrows and Westward Ho! beach and seafront are a short walk away, with several tea rooms serving amazing Devon cream teas.
From Westward Ho! there is a wonderful view of Lundy island. Day trips can be taken to Lundy from Bideford Quay, tide times permitting.
Hockings Ice Cream vans are a local "must try" and can be located in Westward Ho! and Bideford's Victoria Park selling clotted cream ice creams... we recommend adding extra clotted cream and a flake for total indulgence.
You can also find their vans a 10 minute drive away at Torrington commons. Here you can hire bikes and cycle the Tarka Trail from the Puffing Billy and stop in the cafe for refreshments, or even take a dip in the river.
Bideford has a Pannier market, farmers markets along the Quay, a bronze statue of Tarka the Otter next to the river, Victoria park host many festivals and event through out the year. Plus an array of shops and galleries in the town.
For those with a sense of adventure, there are many outdoor activity centres such as Beam House PGL, Skern Lodge, Ultimate Adventure Centre, Wave Park, North Devon Surf School and many more.
