Welcome to The Wilde House, a serene modern farmhouse on an acre of quiet countryside minutes from First Monday. Slide open the custom walls, enjoy fresh air on the screened porch, cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace, or sip coffee on the patio. With no TV, you’ll truly reset and recharge. Whether you’re here for First Monday, a family escape, a girls’ trip, or a romantic retreat—The Wilde House is calm by design, filled with cozy touches and thoughtful details.

The space
Nestled in the pines of East Texas, just minutes from Canton, this relaxing getaway is perfect for a mid-week retreat or a full weekend with friends. The home sleeps up to 10 adults and has 4 Bedrooms with a total of 5 queen beds, with 2 of those being custom bunk beds. It has a fully equipped kitchen, screened-in porch, outdoor dining table, and a patio with 4 macrame swings.

Whether you’re looking for a cozy getaway with the family, a secluded place to work away from distractions, a creative backdrop for a photo shoot, or a unique venue for an intimate celebration, The Wilde House is perfect for you.

All bedrooms are located upstairs, and there are 2 full bathrooms on the property, including 1 with a clawfoot tub.

Guest access
You'll have access to the entire home, but please stay just on our property. The pond and surrounding land outside of the fences do not belong to us. We do have perimeter cameras that record on motion for safety of our home. One is the ring doorbell camera that records on motion and the other is a flood light camera above the front door that covers the parking area and records on motion.

Other things to note
We do not have televisions on the property—The Wilde House is designed for unplugging and slowing down. We now offer reliable fiber internet, so you can stay connected as needed while still enjoying a peaceful retreat. We’re always adding new indoor and outdoor games, books, and records to make your stay feel cozy and fun. For safety, we have two exterior motion-activated cameras: a Ring doorbell at the entry and a floodlight camera above the front door facing the parking area.
