Perched above the canyon with sweeping nature views, this design-forward retreat spans two levels of warm, comfortable living space. Thoughtfully appointed with two bedrooms, one bathroom, two living areas, and a full kitchen, the apartment offers a peaceful escape just moments from Tuna Canyon trails, Malibu beaches, and Topanga Village.

Bright, grounded, and intentionally curated, the space blends natural textures, earthy tones, and relaxed sophistication to create an atmosphere that feels both calming and creatively energizing.

The two bedrooms are privately situated for added comfort and feature natural-fiber mattresses dressed in organic cotton Parachute linens for a deeply restful sleep. The bathroom includes a spacious walk-in shower with elevated finishes, completing the retreat experience.

Although fully self-contained, the Skyway Apartment is located on the same mountain sanctuary as the Main House, with separate entrances and its own distinct character. When reserved together as the Whole Property, the layout is ideal for families, groups, or creative retreats seeking both connection and privacy.

Surrounded by hiking trails and mountain serenity, the property offers easy access to Tuna Canyon State Park, Malibu’s beaches, and the heart of Topanga Village, just a short 7-minute drive away. Expect winding canyon roads, fresh ocean air, and the kind of stillness that allows you to truly reset.

The lower level features a spacious multi-purpose lounge with oversized seating, expansive views across the mountain creek valley, a dedicated workspace, and a surround sound speaker system. A shared washer and dryer are also located on this level.

Upstairs, the second level is centered around an open-concept living space connecting the kitchen, dining area, and sitting room, alongside two bedrooms and a full bathroom. A projector and surround sound system create the perfect setting for immersive movie nights, while every detail throughout the apartment is designed to foster comfort, inspiration, and connection to the surrounding landscape.

Guest access
There is a flight of steep steps from the roadside, down to the front door of the rental unit. Due to the steep hillside location, this property is not ideal if mobility is limited.

Guests have full access to the bottom floor and second floor of the Apartment, including the private entryway, terrace, and walking paths around the property. The hot tub is only available to the guests in the main house.

The apartment is part of a larger mountain estate that also includes the Main House and Yurt Studio, each with their own entrances. While all structures are positioned for privacy, guests may occasionally cross paths on outdoor walkways. When booked together as the Whole Property, all areas are made fully available for your group’s exclusive use.

Ample parking is available along the road, above the driveway. Please note that access is via a scenic, winding mountain road, typical of Topanga Canyon and part of its charm.

Other things to note
Topanga is a peaceful, close-knit community where sound carries easily through the canyon. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. We ask that outdoor music and conversation remain low and respectful at all times.

The property sits on the side of a mountain, and the driveway is steep with steps down to the entryway. Please take care when arriving, particularly at night, and note that this home may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations.

Due to Topanga’s High Fire Zone regulations, smoking, incense, and open flames are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.

Topanga life offers serenity and immersion in nature --with the balance of occasional rustic quirks: brief power outages, visiting wildlife, or the sound of coyotes at night. These are part of the authentic canyon experience that makes this place so grounding and unique.
