**Note** A Separate cottage studio is also on the property behind the garage. The cottage does NOT have access to the main house, has its own entrance and parking space. The cottage does not look into the yard, and does NOT share amenities with the main house (e.g., does not share driveway, no access to pool, no access to fenced yard, etc).
Welcome to The Sea is Calling OKI! This home is the perfect vacation spot on Oak Island! The large, open concept floor plan is perfect for entertaining for everyone. Start your morning with a cup of coffee and a good book in the sunroom or have breakfast in this quiet dining space while enjoying the view to the backyard, deck and pool area or watch TV. Sit back and relax while enjoying a movie or sports game in our open living room with a 65” TV and large sectional.
Enjoy entertaining your guests while cooking and chatting with your friends & family in this fully stocked kitchen. The large u-shape island seats 8 and adjacent dining table 6. The kitchen includes all basic supplies and essential equipment needed to cook and serve meals. We also have blenders for making your favorite drinks, a popcorn maker for movie nights, and for those more adventurous - an ice cream maker.
Want to host a dinner or birthday party outside? Whether you’re having a barbecue or just want to watch the kids play in the pool, our large sundeck boasts an additional dining area under a gazebo. Linger outside after the sun goes down - solar lighting illuminates this outdoor area so you can enjoy the beautiful space long after the sun sets. A grill is available to guests to cook all your favorite foods. Relax with a drink in the evenings around the fire pit under the lighted weeping holly tree. Watch the family swim while taking shade under the sunbrella.
Bike or walk to the Beach via the S. Middleton beach access point. Passing over the salt-water marsh you’ll observe the wildlife. Take in the amazing sunrises and sunsets on this island! Beach chairs and a buggy provided!
After your fun filled days, retire to one of the 4 generous bedrooms.
Sea Delight (the largest bedroom) is truly delightful. This room boasts an enticing king sized bed. Curl up on the couch with a book or watch your favorite TV show. A lovely vanity can double as work space. You’ll have access to the sundeck and sunroom from this bedroom. Wait till you see the ensuite bathroom! Enjoy the walk-in shower with a multi-shower head system and a separate whirlpool tub to soak your cares away. The pool and outdoor area is accessible from this bathroom.
The Perfect Storm - the second primary suite - is a captivating room with a king sized bed. Write a bit of poetry from the charming writing desk or sit in the comfortable leather chair with a good book. This bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom with modern amenities and walk in shower!
Bedroom 3 - The Little Blue Whale - is an irresistible bedroom with two full beds having a simple, quaint nautical vibe. Bedroom 4 - The Calypso - is a bright and serene room that features a queen bed with windows that showcase the large magnolia trees out front. A 3rd full bathroom with a shower-tub combo is between bedrooms 3 & 4 and easily accessible from the living room and dining room.
Guest access
Guests have complete access to the main house. The garage is locked and reserved for the owner's use only. There is a long-term tenant living in the attached cottage behind the garage. This tenant does not have access to the main house, the yard, driveway, or any of the amenities. The cottage has a single door that overlooks the driveway, ensuring your privacy.
