Located in the quiet Bradshaw village, our historic cottage was originally built for workers at the nearby brewery and is conveniently located for visiting Halifax and exploring Calderdale. The Old Brewer's Cottage offers luxury, self-catering accommodation for up to four adults. Recently renovated, the cottage boasts two bedrooms, a family bathroom, a fully fitted kitchen/dining and lounge area, enclosed outdoor seating to front and rear, WiFi and panoramic views over Halifax and beyond.

The space
The Old Brewer's Cottage has stunning views and benefits from a total refurbishment, completed in 2023.
The cottage features a log burner in the open-plan kitchen/diner and lounge area. The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and microwave.
Two comfortable bedrooms, one with a double sized bed, one with two singles. The property benefits from a modern, family bathroom with shower over bath.

Guest access
Guests have sole access to the entire home. Buses run locally and there is a train station in Halifax. More detailed transport information is available at the property.

We do accept well behaved, clean dogs with responsible owners. We charge £20 per pet, per booking to cover additional cleaning fees.

The cottage is approximately 4 miles from Halifax centre, in a quiet village called Bradshaw. The location is a short distance from several, high quality pubs serving food such as The Raggalds (0.5 miles), The Moorlands Inn (1.5 miles) and The Causeway Foot Inn (1.5 miles). The cottage is ideally located for walking in the local area, we recommend Ogden Water Country Park.

The cottage is a 15 minute drive from the Halifax Piece Hall. This is Britain’s last surviving cloth hall and, following a multi-million pound transformation project, now features independent shops, cafes and bars, heritage visitor centre, art gallery and a spectacular events programme. The cottage is also a 15 minute drive from Shibden Hall, historic home of the famous Anne Lister and filming location for the 'Gentleman Jack' series.

If you are a keen golfer, the cottage is just 20 minutes' drive from Bradshaw Golf Club, with courses designed by James Braid and Dr Alistair Mackenzie. Or, if you'd like to visit the home of the Bronte sisters, Haworth is also a 20 minute drive away.

Calderdale and West Yorkshire generally are perfect locations for walking, running or cycling. The Penine Bridleway National Trail, including the Mary Towneley Loop, passes through the area, as well as the Calderdale Way. There are shorter walks available locally, perfect for exploring the beautiful countryside and industrial heritage of the area.
