Welcome to this newly renovated waterfront cottage. Location is everything! 1 mile to Tanger outlets, Dutch Wonderland, and Sight & Sound Theatre. Enjoy this creekside home with incredible views of mature woodland and open acres. Explore the property; fish, kayak, paddle boat, relax in the hammock, or next to the fireplace. Savor your time on the front porch surrounded by quiet rolling hills and farmland. Should you wish to vacation with friends or family, we have a neighboring airbnb available.
The space
Once a Summer cottage, this child-friendly and parent-classy home from the 1950's has been lovingly restored beyond its former glory. Fully renovated in 2023 it has been prepared with rest and peace in mind.
Located less then 2 minutes from the Tanger Outlets and Dutch Wonderland, The Millstream Hideaway provides the perfect balance between enjoying all that Lancaster County has to offer, and simply relaxing and unwinding in nature.
Ancient sycamore trees tower over the property, adding a haven of rest and wonder. A working farm can be viewed from the cozy front porch. Enjoy a paddle boat, row boat or kayak adventure down the Mill Stream, just steps from the cottage. Linger at your own private firepit in the oasis of calm and quiet, don't forget the stargazing + smores!
Each piece of furniture was curated with relaxation and luxurious comfort in mind. Enjoy the obnoxious amount of cozy throw blankets, light the fireplace, and sit back to unwind. The best view in the house is in the living room, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the stunning waterfront property. The velvet swivel chairs offer the best views from the outdoors to the 55" smart TV! The comfortable sectional features a storage ottoman and one automatic reclining chair.
The custom-built cottage kitchen is fully equipped with most of your everyday needs including coffee, tea and several spices. Appliances include full-size refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave. We offer both a Keurig coffee maker and a standard drip coffee maker. All cookware and bakeware are available to you, along with a Ninja blender and toaster. The cottage dining room has seating for 6 and a highchair is available if needed.
A large capacity washer and dryer is available in the basement of the cottage. You must access it via the back door.
The primary suite features a foam mattress with welcoming and soft linens, a small desk area, and a large closet. Enjoy field and yard views from your king-sized linen bed. All linens are of the highest quality and will provide incredible comfort, including a set of cozy robes.
The bathroom houses the original cast iron bathtub and beautiful vintage-inspired fixtures. Cleaning supplies, luxurious linens and soaps are fully stocked.
Bedroom #2 is outfitted with a bunk bed and a wicker twin bed with trundle bed tucked beneath, perfect for that summer-camp vibe! A large closet in this room is where you'll find a pack and play, bins of toys and plenty of space for suitcases.
This property is made for enjoyment! Run in the yard, roll down the hill, ask about our custom picnic options, rest and be restored along the Mill Stream!
