Let baby seal greetings delight you, the retreat’s intentionally curated design refresh you or Sunrise+Sunset over the Sound take your breath away from your spot at the dining table, sofa, kitchen (w/coffee, tea+anything needed for a delicious meal), outdoor gas FIREPIT, fire table, GRILL or inflatable HOT TUB. At high+low tide, you’ll be rejuvenated.

only 7 min from SeaTac airport and 15 min from the Lumen Field stadium! Close enough to make access a breeze but remote enough to be able to fully unwind when you return home to DMD.

The property has beautiful 180 degree unobstructed views of the ocean, beach, marina, Vashon Island, Maury Island and Olympic Mountains from the entire front of the inside of the house, yard, patio and hot tub.

A reminder: The home is set in a tranquil setting that feels removed from it all and is ACCESSED VIA a lovely path/STEPS (as photographed) EXCLUSIVELY. It is a 2-5 min walk (depending on guest) with stairs of varying levelness. As such, please wear appropriate shoes and plan your reservation/stay accordingly. Upon booking, we send out a link in which, with sufficient advance notice, we will be happy to fill the fridge with items you select to greet you for your stay.

Donations: We care about the ocean + love sharing the beautiful Puget Sound with our guests! For every visit, we’re pleased to donate a % to nonprofits protecting our oceans (Oceana) + housing young girls (The Agape House).

Design: The elevated beach house getaway is designed and curated by DMD Co-Owner Sara, Chief Designer of Rapha Designs, with the intent of creating a feeling of being truly welcomed and promoting a sense of holistic rest, comfort and refreshing.

Beach Access: Please note: In order to respect our beloved neighbors and the state ordinance, *please only walk in front of our home and in the direction of pier* (about 400 feet of beach).

House Access: The home is set in a tranquil setting and accessed via an almost entirely bistro lit path/steps of varying levelness (as photographed) exclusively.

Located less than 10 minutes from SeaTac Airport, approx 20 min from the city of Seattle and in one of the most charming coastal neighborhoods—Des Moines (walk 3 min down the beach during low tide or 8 min down the trail during high tide to the Marina!)—anything you can want is at your fingertips but you can feel completely out of reach.

Our neighbors are kind and we want to do everything possible to respect their comfort in the community (including being in harmony with the quiet culture that fosters such rest and peace). We ask guests honor the environment that we are grateful to be a part of by only remaining on the beach in front of our house or walking towards the Marina/pier (please do not walk North towards the other homes as it is private property and it will be treated as trespassing), using the common stairs only to travel to/from the house and committing to quiet hours of 10 pm-10 am.
