Family-friendly vacation rentals in Des Moines

We had a great girls weekend getaway in this beautiful home! The “princess room”on the third floor is especially lovely. Great location with lots of convenient things close by. Make sure you pack any essentials you may need as there definitely were a few things missing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay— especially the hot tub.

An amazing spot to stay and experience Seattle. Close to downtown sites, arena and stadiums. Walkable to cute coffee and donut shops. Insane views of Elliot Bay, Puget Sound, sunsets and ferries. Wonderfully set up with 4 bedrooms and tons of separate hangout space and that top deck, OMG! Perfect hangout space with a covered roof, heaters and fire pit - perfect to keep you warm and dry in Seattle winter weather. We’re Seattlites that hosted family from out of town here 10/10 would do it again. Telling all my friends!

Perfect location with easy walking to many places to shop and eat. Visiting a relative in Tacoma and we were within about a 5 minute walk to their house. Worked out great.

We LOVE the Woodsy Retreat! This is the 3rd time we've stayed there and it's peaceful, quiet location is good for the soul. All of the little touches make this THE BEST Air BNB experience ever. We have already booked next year!

The cabin was accurately described and exactly what we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed.

The home was perfect for our family coming to town for my father in law’s memorial service. Lots of space for our young grandchildren and their cousins to run around and play, and lovely setting for the adults to gather and reminisce. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking family meals. Grocery store 5 minutes away. It was just perfect for our needs! We are forever grateful for this space and the now memories created. 🤍

Great place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. Easy to get to everything in and around Ballard! The host made everything easy!

My husband and I stayed at Tarah’s place for about 2 months while he was assigned to a work project nearby. We loved our stay Best parts of the house: - open living room with tons of natural light - large master bedroom - office space in one of the bedrooms - great outdoor deck space with a table, we ate dinner outside on warm evenings - large fenced backyard for our dog to run in and apple trees - it’s not listed, but there was also a grill when we stayed, we didn’t use it but good to know if you’re staying in the summertime

The home was just perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable, living space was conducive to family life, bright open atmosphere, safe and enjoyable.

This is our second time staying at Kelly’s place. It’s a large space, convenient location for our visit, very cozy and Kelly is very responsive. We will book again.

We stayed in this place for 52 days. It worked very well for our family of 4 and a small dog. It had plenty of beds, the sheets and towels were very nice quality. The place was roomy and we were comfortable. We missed having a TV in the upstairs because the dog was not allowed in the downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, silverware, utensils, etc. There was a gas grill that was nice and an extra propane tank for use when we ran out. It was a quick switch and we appreciated this. It was cold for the area when we were there and the heated kitchen floors and bathroom floors were amazing. There was plenty of parking for our 2 vehicles and a trailer. From the description it was unclear if we could use the garage which we could not. There were several doors to the outside with ample deck and patio area. We needed to extend our state a week and they were flexible for us which was helpful.

Caroline was a great host. We felt right at home, and the place was really nice, very clean, and perfectly cozy. The bed in the loft was about as soft as they come, which my wife and I found uncomfortable, but the downstairs bed was better. Other than that, the place was perfect and exactly what we were looking for.

I chose this location for the proximity to my cousin's place, which was perfect! Delicious coffee shop (Cafe Bambino) around the block, good food options at Mainstay Provisions, cute neighborhood bars a short walk away. The place itself was quite big for the price point. It was very quiet, especially for it being a downstairs unit. The amenities provided were more than enough and was definitely a home-away-from-home. They had parking on-site, which is stellar in that neighborhood. Theo was very responsive and quick but Maria was an absolute treasure. I would recommend this place many times over again.

The Zen Den was much more than I expected. It’s a beautiful and tranquil home. It was perfect for my family Thanksgiving. Our adult children raved about it. So much art and unique decor. We appreciated the Friends theme. I hope to stay again next year when we visit home.

The home is gorgeous. So tranquil and peaceful -- my family took a week-long vacation on Vashon and Brita's was the perfect jumping-off point. The location is super private, the home architecture is extraordinary, and the backyard garden is expansive. If you're looking for a great place to rest and recharge, this is it. There is a lot of great dishware, artistic elements in the home, and incredible views throughout the home, especially in the kitchen and upstairs bedroom.

we enjoyed our stay here. Close to everything walking distance. The apartment itself was clean and the beds were comfortable. Will definitely stay here again when in Seattle

A good cost to enjoyment ratio. I really appreciated that there was eggs, apples, coffee pods, half and half already in the apartment. Not having to lug an electric kettle from home was a relief. The bed was brand new and very firm. My only complaint would be needing to set the dishwasher to heavy duty to do a normal clean.

We absolutely loved Jeffrey’s place. The home is so inviting and made us feel right at home. We celebrated Thanksgiving and the home was such a wonderful place to gather together to visit, eat, play games, do puzzles etc. We highly recommend this lovely home.

Nice quiet section of Belltown! Easy walk to Seattle Center and Pike Market. Safe neighborhood with the community amenities like a gym, pool and sauna makes for a restful and adventure filled vacation.

Great central location to all we wanted to do in the PNW - visit national parks, hike, and spend time in downtown Seattle. Linda recommended we take the water taxi into downtown and we loved it - inexpensive and a beautiful boat ride. Linda’s a fabulous host, very communicative and friendly. The space is excellent for 2 and spacious enough for 4. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bedding, and sitting on the cozy couch by the living room windows in the morning reading a book was an excellent way to start the day. Proximity to the airport was also a huge plus, and off street parking was very convenient. We would absolutely stay with Linda again

Gayle’s place was perfect for my family of 5. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful person that showed us the basics about getting in to the garage and entering the unit. The unit itself was tidy and furnished nicely. The beds, including the fold out bed were comfortable. The provided ear plugs were necessary as the trash pick up is very noisy and happens around 4 or 5 AM. The surrounding neighborhood has lots to see and eat. We were able to walk to most of the major sites including the space needle, Seattle center, pikes place, the aquarium, ferries… my 4 yr old loved the heated pool on the third floor. It was a nice break for her to recharge and avoid melt downs while touring the city. Gayle is very responsive and can provide answers to questions at a moments notice. There is a binder full of recommendations that we took advantage of. You can tell a lot of careful thought was put into providing guests with an great experience.

Location! Location! Location! plus Million Dollar Views! Great apartment in secure building with secure parking, close to everything. The place was great and had everything we needed - no complaints here. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!
