We share our property with two small dogs who are friendly but a little set in their ways. They’re older, blind, and can get a bit grumpy, especially if one gets attention and the other doesn’t! Don’t worry, though; they’re typically in their dog run, so your paths might not even cross.

From time to time, we also care for our daughter’s labrador, who’s the complete opposite - young, full of energy, and absolutely adores a pat! If you spot her, she’ll be thrilled to meet you. 🐾

We’re mindful of our guests' comfort and will always ensure any interactions with our furry family are minimal and friendly.

Neighborhood highlights

Whitstable is one of the best places to experience the English seaside. It is the place to go if you like quirky, independent shops and art galleries, a working harbour, delicious seafood (especially our oysters), pebbled beaches, outrageously good fish and chips and micro-pubs. You can walk into Whitstable in 20 mins, or catch a nearby bus.

Tankerton Slopes showcases beautiful sunsets, take a picnic down to the beach and enjoy watching the sun go down. We have fold up chairs, blankets etc you can borrow and its only a 10 minute walk away. When the tide is right you can walk along "The Street", a natural path that takes you right out into the sea. Visit our local micro-pub, the Tankerton Arms, for a warm welcome and excellent ale or gin.

The historic city of Canterbury is a 20 minute drive away. Encircled by medieval walls, Canterbury is steeped in history. In the Middle Ages, Canterbury’s pilgrimage-site status made it the setting of Chaucer’s seminal "Canterbury Tales," while today, cobbled streets and the 6th-century Canterbury Cathedral secure this city as one of England’s must-visit destinations.

Margate is a 30 minute drive away, or can be reached by train. A visit Margate, Broadstairs or Ramsgate is a must. Here seaside kitsch is cool and everything from ice cream parlours to boutiques has a hip, retro vibe. In Margate you’ll discover an iconic amusement park, a thriving arts and culture scene plus delicious food and drink.

Faversham is a beautiful market town, a 20 minute drive, or can be reached by train. The oldest market town in the county and recorded in the Domesday Book, is bursting with history and located on a winding creek. With an amazing array of independent shops, regular markets, captivating places to visit, walking and a reputation for fine foods.
