A 1958 original Outer Banks flat top cottage. This beautiful cottage has been renovated, offering the perfect mix of modern conveniences & true Outer Banks nostalgia.

I do have several listings in this neighborhood including next door to this cottage.

Centrally located, 2 king beds & rooms with Smart tvs, fully stocked kitchen, large 65” smart tv, excellent WiFi, covered patio, outdoor shower, ping pong, rope swing & new decor. Pet friendly.

Welcome to The Avalon Cottage, where modern conveniences meet timeless charm. This classic flat-top roof home, recently inducted into the historic society, has been fully renovated and thoughtfully stocked with everything you need for an unforgettable vacation. This home can sleep 5 guests, however, best well suited for 4. Two king beds to sleep 4 and 1 couch that can sleep 1 guest.

Pet friendly up to 1 pet with pet fee . A 2nd pet can be considered, reach out prior to booking for approval. See House Rules for pet rules.

★ You will be provided linens and bath towels. Also to get you started there will be a couple trash bags, a couple rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, dish soap and sponge, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, salt/pepper and basic kitchen needs including coffee/sugar! You will be responsible for providing anything needed beyond what we get you started with.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire property with exception of one closet that is the owners closet.

Other things to note
Pet friendly up to 1 pet. See House Rules. Do not take your pet in the lot to the west side of the house for walks. This lot belongs to the neighbor. Use the backyard and the east side of the house.

You may see someone from our lawn care team come out for a quick trip during your stay to maintain the grass.

Check out instructions will be posted in your Airbnb and include asking if you would not mind starting the first load of sheets/towels, starting the dishwasher and taking your trash to the outside can.

Two King beds to sleep 4 guests. 1 couch that can sleep 1 guest.

The shower has small rubber water dispensers, some of them are turning black where the water spouts out and it appears as mold. This is a discoloration of the rubber and not mold, they are clean I promise! If you have a solution for this problem on how to get this color back to normal, I welcome suggestions (the shower is only 2.5 years old, please let me know, I have tried many products!)

Complimentary bikes are also provided for your enjoyment. While we strive to maintain their availability at all times, please understand that on occasion, maintenance may be required, potentially impacting their accessibility until resolved.

Hurricane season is June to November, please see Airbnb policy regarding weather events: "Weather events, natural conditions, and diseases that are excluded from our Extenuating Circumstances Policy" There will be no refunds related to weather events.
