Other things to note
The Philip Schneider House (PS House for short) is on the historical registry. It was built in 1866 for Philip "Granite" Schneider, Master of Transportation for the Union Army in the Civil War, and owner of a granite quarry whose signature pink granite was used to build 3 major St. Louis landmarks that are still standing: Eads Bridge (the first bridge to cross the Mississippi River and the first bridge in the wield made of steel), St. Louis City Hall, and the Old Post Office.
Old homes are quirky, and so is the Soulard neighborhood. If you desire something more memorable, immersive, and experiential than your typical downtown hotel room, then this is your place.
This is our home when we are in the city. If you decide to book the PS House, we ask that you treat our home with kindness and respect. We want our guests to have a good time, but we do not allow parties. This is for safety reasons as well as to maintain the integrity of the residential neighborhood. The maximum guest count will be enforced.

Neighborhood highlights
Soulard, the oldest residential neighborhood in St. Louis, exudes charm and personality perhaps more than any other neighborhood in the city. Here you will find red brick row houses and cobblestone tree-lined sidewalks where the carriage steps from the 1800's are still standing. Presently, Soulard is the epicenter of the famed St. Louis blues music scene and home to the biggest Mardi Gras celebration in 49 states. Dozens of restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries dot every block. Live music with talented musicians is plentiful and cover charges are rare (we really are spoiled here). We also have some of the best patios in the city to boot! The ambiance is casual, friendly, and booze forward. Think French Quarter, but cleaner, less expensive, and less crowded :)

I’m a St. Louis native & currently live here with my husband & cohost Tyler & our 3 boys. Entertaining friends and family has always been a favorite pastime, so moving into property hosting was an exciting step to take after a career change! We own all of our properties and manage them ourselves. When in town, we love exploring all the city has to offer and meeting new people. Reach out for questions or to chat about recommendations. Cheers!
