Quiet cabin in a wooded setting near the Deschutes River at the south end of Sunriver. With 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen, it’s ideal for one or two families. Enjoy updated, comfortable beds paired with charming 1970s character. Close to the river loop path for walking, biking, and cross-country skiing.

This is a modest, well-loved cabin, not a luxury home, but it is carefully maintained and a relaxing place to gather with friends and family.

The Sunriver Deschutes House has been in our family since the late 1980s and has hosted decades of Christmases, spring breaks, class trips, and summer vacations. When we opened it to guests, we refreshed the home with new paint and bedding, focusing on comfort, cleanliness, and convenience for families.

--Location--

The location is one of the home’s best features. Located off Meadow Road near Sunriver Resort, the Village is a 5-minute drive, a 30-minute walk along paved paths, or a short bike ride. The home sits on a large, shady lot surrounded by trees. Thick insulation and natural shade keep it cozy in winter and comfortably cool in summer.

* All items can be used as needed or tucked away.

--Outdoor Gear & Bikes--

Snowshoes and cross-country skis with boots and poles are available for use right from the back porch when snow conditions allow, or at nearby Mt. Bachelor. Outdoor storage includes three adult bikes and three children’s bikes. Additional rentals are available in Sunriver Village.

--SHARC Passes--

The rental includes 10 SHARC passes, providing access to the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center. Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, disc golf, basketball and bocce courts, youth climbing, tennis, and pickleball. Some amenities are seasonal. SHARC is about a 5-minute drive away.

Guests have access to the entire property except for a locked owner's closet upstairs and an outdoor closet off the back porch.

Neighborhood highlights

Our cabin is on the southern end of Sunriver, off Meadow Rd, in the older part of Sunriver. We really love this quiet location near the river loop, not far from the Sunriver Lodge. Take long rambling walks through the trees and along the Deschutes River. We get so many compliments on our location within Sunriver; even people who have visited the area for years have not realized our little pocket of tranquility existed.

I am managing my family's vacation home in Sunriver, Oregon, which my dad has owned since the late 80s. This cabin has been integral in the making of many memories in my family over the years. We have worked very hard to make it a comfortable, relaxing, family-friendly space. I'm also raising four small children under the age of 13 while working remotely as a software developer. We travel, read lots of books, and love to play video games.
