We welcome you in our home on the Great North Holland Canal. Our lovely studio has a private entrance and terrace and is situated on the ground floor. Includes use of 2 bicycles and a canoe.

You can cycle from our studio to the beach in about 30 min. The historic city of Alkmaar is 15 min. away. Recreational area Geestmerambacht (walking, cycling, swimming, water sports) is within walking distance.

Our studio is perfect for couples looking for a nice spot between the outdoors and the city.

The space
The studio has its own entrance and a terrace, a private bathroom with shower, toilet and washstand and a small kitchen with coffee machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and mini fridge. There is no hob. The rent includes the use of 2 bicycles and a (Canadian) canoe.

Guest access
The studio, bathroom and terrace are private. The canoe is accessible through our backyard. Parking is available right around the corner, also for electric cars.

Other things to note
The studio is on the ground floor, but has a high threshold and is therefore not suitable for wheelchair users. The price includes tourist tax of € 3.30 per person per day.

Neighborhood highlights

- The surroundings of Koedijk are beautiful and very ‘Dutch’. The house is situated on the historic West-Frisian Circular Dyke which is perfect for cycling or rollerblading and there are wide views all the way to the dunes of art village Bergen and Schoorl.
- There's a bird breeding area 10 minutes from our house which is open to the public and very nice for an evening walk.
- There are quite a few traditional windmills in the area, one of which is very close to our home. They offer tours to view the workings of the mill.
- Practical: There is a Lidl within walking distance, the mill also has a shop with bread and various organic products and restaurant Molenschuur. Check the websites for opening times.

We are Krista (graphic designer) and Niels (software developer). We live in this nice place on the North Holland Canal together with our cats Nikka and Bowie. We love to stroll at flea markets to LPs, like to play card and board games and occasionally take a long walk in the beautiful surroundings of Koedijk or the dune area of Bergen and Schoorl. | We are Krista (graphic designer) and Niels (software developer), living in Koedijk (which is actually as Dutch as it gets. It means cow-dike) together with our cats Nikka and Bowie. We like to go crate-digging every now and then, for some good old vinyl and we often play board and card games. Besides that, we love walking around the beautiful surroundings of Koedijk or the dunes and seaside which are very close to our home. | We are Krista (graphic designer) and Niels (software developer) who live with our cats Nikka and Bowie in Koedijk.
