Strawberry Inn (since 1973) is a 200-year old home in the middle of Main Street in historic New Market, MD. Dining and coffee shops are in walking distance. This ground-floor room has a private back porch entrance, king bed, WiFi, and private bath. Enjoy the garden and gazebo with a bottle of wine from a local vineyard. Breakfast snack bowl with fruit, breakfast bars, and Keurig are in the room. Airbnb is now adding their fee to our rate, that's why it looks like our rate went up.

The space
Cats are in the house but not in the bedroom unless you invite them. There's also a toaster oven and mini frig.

Guest access
Private bath. Seating on private back porch and large shared garden area with gazebo. Guests do not share the family's living space.

During your stay
We have contact-less check-in where the guests park on the street in front and go in through the white gate to the left of the front door to their private back porch. Innkeeper's cell phone will be provided if you have any questions during your stay. The room is not serviced daily unless there's a long-term stay, in which case extra sheets and towels are provided.

Other things to note
Checkout instructions: turn off anything you turned on along with the lights (and A/C in summer), leave the key where you found it, and don't bother making the bed. We do not charge a cleaning fee because we don't agree with hosts that use cleaning fees as a way to increase their rates, so please do consider tipping your housekeeper.

There are quaint shops up and down Main Street and a great restaurant, Vintage, across the street (the old Mealey's). There's a café that roasts their own coffee and has excellent pastries at 5 West Main, and a nice sandwich and smoothie shop on the corner called Prospect Pantry.
