Unbeatable location

Four beautifully appointed bell tents, privately situated in ancient woodland meadows on a small farm in rural Kent. Close to Tenterden and Rye.
Perfect for a party of friends or family groups to share - our traditional, off grid canvas bell tents are styled and fitted for comfort.
Even though you are close to amenities you feel you are a hundred miles away from anywhere; completely immersed in nature but with all the luxuries for a supremely comfortable off grid camping experience.

The space
Just a ten minute walk across the fields from the farmhouse, our four luxuriously furnished canvas bell tents are hidden away in thirty acres of woodland meadows and surrounded by an 800 acre woodland nature reserve.
A place to completely immerse yourself in the natural beauty, flora and fauna that this little pocket of Kent has to offer; listen to nightingales and owls in the evenings and spot a deer or two grazing in the meadows as the sun comes up. A completely private haven for your group to enjoy.

There are two 5m bell tents which have 1 x king size bed each. Alongside these there is a 4m bell tent with twin single beds - suitable for older children and adults alike and our super sized 7m tent with a superking bed and two full sized singles.
There is ample room for a little one or two (children under 12 years) as well in either of the 5m or the 7m tent - we have one travel cot and four small single camp beds available to hire by prior arrangement, please message the host for more details regarding these.
Bedding and towels are provided - with fresh cotton bedlinen and woollen blankets.

Each tent has:
Sisal matting.
It's own wood burning stove (5 and 7m only) for those chilly English evenings. A bag of logs is provided and should you need them; more are available to purchase from the farm.
A wash stand with bowl, jug, mirror, soap and hand towel.

In the kitchen there is:
A double burner cast iron gas hob.
A stove top coffee maker, kettle, cutlery and enamelware crockery.
A excellent selection of cooking equipment - pans and utensils are provided, alongside XV olive oil, salt and pepper. There is also an extra large cool box to keep your food fresh and drinks cold. Freezer blocks are provided and can be refreshed at your request.
Located here is a brick fire pit with rustic log seats. A tripod barbecue for alfresco cooking. A table and benches for dinning, four canvas directors chairs and a hammock in the trees!

A dozen fresh eggs (from our hens), a bag of freshly roasted and ground coffee (from our resident coffee roasters - Coldblow Coffee Co), tea bags and sugar will be waiting for you on your arrival.

A washing up area with cold running water, bowl, brush and detergent (you'll need to boil a kettle!) is situated on the outer wall of the kitchen shelter.
Bin bags, kitchen towel, compost bags, fire lighters and matches.
Candles and hurricane lamps with citronella oil to help keep the mosquitos at bay!.

For your ablutions there is running mains water plumbed to a heated outdoor shower and a long drop loo with loo roll and hand sanitiser.

Guest access
Parking is provided at the farm - about a 10min walk from the tents. We will lend you a wheelbarrow or two to transport your belongings.
You are free to wander in and enjoy the meadows with their abundance of flora and fauna - but may we respectfully ask that during the peak growing season guests don't trample the long grass and stick to the field edges and woodland (which there is plenty of). This is a working farm and our animals rely on the hay for their winter fodder!
