Welcome to Southfork Ranch, a luxury resort style farmstay unlike anything else in Southern Tasmania. Set across five private acres of peaceful bushland just 25 minutes from Hobart, this exclusive retreat offers complete privacy, premium facilities and an unforgettable country experience. Whether you're planning a family holiday, celebrating a special occasion or simply escaping the city, Southfork Ranch has everything you need to relax, reconnect and create lasting memories.
Designed to accommodate up to eight guests, the property features three beautifully furnished bedrooms with one super king bed and two queen beds, along with a comfortable sofa bed in the main living area, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for families and groups. The spacious open plan living and dining area is complemented by two modern bathrooms, a cosy wood heater, and a fully equipped laundry, creating a comfortable and practical space for your stay.
The heart of the home is the spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you'll need to prepare meals during your stay, including quality cookware, a coffee machine (just bring your favourite beans), dishwasher, microwave and all the essentials. The large dining table is perfect for long family dinners, while the comfortable lounge features a 75 inch Smart TV, making it the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring.

Enjoy exclusive access to your own indoor heated swimming pool, complete with a second Smart TV so you can watch the footy, stream your favourite music or simply relax while enjoying the pool. Relax in the hot tub and soak beneath the stars after a day exploring Southern Tasmania.
Challenge family and friends to a game of tennis or pickleball on the private court, with all racquets, paddles and balls provided. Cook dinner on the barbecue or create authentic wood fired pizzas in the traditional pizza oven, with all firewood, kindling and fire starters supplied so everything is ready for your arrival.
One of the highlights of staying at Southfork Ranch is meeting the resident animals. Five friendly alpacas roam freely throughout the property and often wander right up to the house, making your morning coffee even more memorable. You're welcome to hand feed them using the supplied alpaca pellets. The resident chickens also regularly provide fresh farm eggs, and if you're lucky, there may already be some waiting for you in the kitchen.
Despite feeling wonderfully secluded, you're only a short drive from Hobart, beautiful beaches, mountain bike trails, bushwalking tracks, cafés and local attractions. It's the perfect balance of peaceful country living and city convenience.

A small supply of coffee beans is provided for the coffee machine to get you started. If you're a coffee enthusiast or planning a longer stay, we recommend bringing along your favourite beans.
A comprehensive house manual is located in the kitchen and includes helpful information, operating instructions and guides for the pool, hot tub, pizza oven, appliances and other property features.
If you're staying on a Thursday evening, we'd really appreciate it if you could wheel the bins out for Friday morning collection. It's a small gesture that helps us keep everything running smoothly.
While we love animals, pets are not permitted at Southfork Ranch. This helps protect our free roaming alpacas, chickens and other livestock, while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
