The space
This is a rustic secluded location, set down away from the normal lake front properties which are up above on the ridge line. When you descend to the cave, you find a quiet refuge with beautiful natural scenery along with all the amenities you'd like in a private home. The space includes many locations to relax and enjoy different views and scenes.

Guest access
The highlight areas include the clifftop view of the lake, the waterfalls with firepit and picnic table, the lakefront decks and slopes offering fishing and lake watching, the swim pier at the end of a walkway leading into the lake, the Lion's Den with natural rock ceilings and more, two outside showers, the Cabin, and then the massive Cave itself, a roughly 1500 sq foot space with unique furniture and ambiance including multiple firepits.

Other things to note
The cabin sleeps 4 comfortably (2 in a main bedroom, 2 in the living room).
Note that there is an additional fee per person after the first 2, so please select the correct guest count when booking. There are lots of options for a larger group to sleep at the cave, out in the cave itself or by the waterfalls, etc (sleeping bags / airbeds).

The property is big enough with lots of spots to enjoy that bringing another couple with you to enjoy the Cave makes for more fun and also is a great way to reduce the expense per person!

Although Alabama seasons are mild, they do introduce changes through the year, and the lake is managed by Alabama Power, meaning its level can fluctuate day to day.

Specifically, this means that
-the lake is generally 'full' (swimmable, boatable from the Cave dock) starting in March, and starts to get shallow by the dock towards the end of August
-the waterfalls never stop, but they are rain dependent; spring rains are most reliable for making them beautiful, but any heavy rains can cause massive torrents throughout the year
