Our shepherds hut sleeps two and is kitted out with everything you need for a perfect getaway. Take a dip in the wood-fired hot and cook with a difference in our converted silo. Our outdoor lighting makes night time in the woods feel magical.
Powered by solar and kept flowing from our very own spring - we're off-grid and eco-friendly.
The space
The shepherds hut has double bed, towels and bedding provided, there's ample storage underneath the bed, a wood-fired, as well as a flushing loo and sink. There's also traditional games and books. Outside the hut is a log and muddy boot store. The small patio has outdoor seating and a raised fire bowl - perfect for a small fire.
The wood-fired hot tub is a must do. You won't be disappointed, it's the perfect way to unwind in the evening.
If you want to cooking up a storm, the converted silo has everything you need. Plates, bowls, cups, wine glasses and utensils. If you don't fancy cooking on the fire bowl, use the gas camping stove in the silo. There's a large dining table inside the silo, and one outside too.
Fancy a shower? The outdoor shower runs hot/wam water - so you don't need to brave a cold shower.
And not forgetting the fire pit with log benches... melting marshmallows in the woods mustn't be missed.
All of the water on the site comes form our spring, it's perfectly safe for bathing, flushing and washing but it's not treated for drinking... please bring bottled water with you. Not to worry if you forget, we can provide some.
Tillislow Farm is over 350-acres which includes the main farm, woodlands, streams and ofcourse Slow Glamping. The farm has been run by the same family (Hopper's) for a century.
There’s plenty to discover for fellow nature lovers. If you want to venture further than the campsite, you can head down to the farm yard - please bear in mind it’s a working farm so keep an eye out for tractors, machinery and livestock. If you continue further on, you’ll end up in Tillislow wood. The ancient woodland is teaming with wildlife - if you’re lucky you might spot a deer. Follow the path (an old railway track) which runs alongside the river and you’ll come across the quarry, a little further is a bridge.This is our favourite place on the farm to walk. For the very brave, enjoy a refreshing dip in the River Carey.

Park at the main gate at the entrance to the field. Walk across the field, the entrance to the copse is in the middle of the hedgerow, a small gate at the end of the path. Walk across the bridge and follow the path to the shepherds hut. The copse is private and all yours to enjoy during your stay with us.
