Bohemian Farm Stay with Fire-Heated Hot Tub | Near Pretoria

Escape to a soulful, bohemian-style retreat just 20 min from Pretoria (±1 hr from Jo’burg) set at the end of a scenic 9km dirt road.

Unwind in a fire-heated hot tub under the stars, or enjoy sunsets from the patio overlooking open grazing land with horses, zebra, impala, and springbok nearby.

Hiking trails and Horse riding (additional cost) available.

Close to Rosemary Hill (padel courts), Campagne Living, and Greenhouse Café.

The space
The Old Farm House is perfect for guests who enjoy breathtaking sunsets, good wine by the fire and zebras grazing nearby. Relax in the spa-bath. Enjoy early morning coffee while feeding animals from the treehouse. Take a short hike to picnic by the dam.

Guest access
Both bedrooms are en-suite with the Flower Suite boasting a spa bath for relaxing bubble baths. The open plan lounge and kitchenette areas have comfortable seating for relaxing or watching TV as well as a breakfast nook with views on the game farm. Guests have use of the pool, sun heated hot tub, barbecue facilities, “treehouse” for game viewing and sundowners.
Laundry service can be arranged with hosts.
A 500m walk takes guests to a dam where an astonishing 50+ bird species have been recorded and the unmissable call of a fish eagle can sometimes be heard.

Other things to note
The closest restaurants and supermarkets are 20 minutes away. If you want to relax and not do too much driving around it is best to bring enough supplies. The unit provides rusks, coffee and tea. All other meals need to be provided by guests. We offer, at an additional charge, warm breakfasts, lunch, picnic baskets and dinner. We do have friendly dogs that roam freely around the property.

We are close enough to Pretoria, and all the comforts a city offers, to be convenient and far enough away from Pretoria for guests to enjoy a relaxing, quiet time. In the area guests can enjoy mountain biking, sightseeing at various locations near by. There are also several popular wedding venues in the area - Rosemary Hill, Campagne Living, Lace on Timber, Chez Charlene and Terrouges.

I spend too much time: dreaming!
In love with each other, our home and travelling. We enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle. We travel to experience "life as a local" while still taking in the touristy things in our own unique way. We like all the luxury offered by living in a big city but do enjoy the peace and quiet offered by the small farm we live on. Our favourite entertainment is watching the game and horses grazing at sunset while sipping on good red wine. We share our home with Madeleine’s son Geordan, three friendly dogs Joey a Boxer and Chellie and Penny our two Dachshund.
