Vibrant neighborhood

Guests say this area is walkable with lots to explore, especially for dining out.
Nestled in a row of historic Georgian painted cottages, a stone’s throw from the Beach & Cromer’s iconic Victorian Pier, Shrimp is the perfect luxury base for two with King Bed that can be configured as two singles. Everything this vibrant Seaside town has to offer is quite literally on your doorstep. The Fabulous Kitchen makes cooking a pleasure but, Cafes, Bars & Restaurants are just around the corner. Comfortable & Cosy in all weathers with Private Courtyard Garden great for Summer evenings.

The space
Featuring original oiled timber floors, conservation roof lights and generous windows with bespoke wooden shutters, our tiny fisherman’s cottage sleeps just two in the ‘Upper Circle’. The plaster finish wet room with brick slip floor is reached via the original reed and bead timber door from the bedroom and has an overhead rain shower fed by a generous hot water supply.

On the ground floor, a traditionally crafted, painted DeVol kitchen incorporates a handy little window seat where you can perch with a mug of tea and watch the world wander by. Essential appliances are integrated and double doors to the laundry cupboard house a washer dryer and rack for wellies.

The open plan living space extends to incorporate a built in bench seat with table for dining or working and then on to the bright, comfortable seating area with smart TV and winding stairs to the first floor.

Large glazed french windows lead out onto the walled courtyard garden with exterior lighting and mini outdoor wood burner. There is space to sit, eat, read, and of course, to chat. For surfers and wild swimmers, you’ll also find room outside to store your board and a line to hang your wetsuit out to dry.

A Hive operated, environmentally friendly electric boiler powers the central heating and hot water supply and there’s a suitably dinky Everhot cast iron electric stove for warming your toes or a plate of mince pies at Christmas.

Guest access
Cromer is accessible by train on the Bittern Line from Norwich and just a minute’s walk from the bus stop where you can jump on the Coast Hopper to further explore the delights of the North Norfolk Coast. You'll find a taxi rank with the buses, and Shrimp is also situated pretty much opposite the Meadow car park, complete with EV charging points. Weekly, weekend, day and hourly tickets can all be purchased from the machine on arrival. Free on street parking is also available nearby - you just need to be patient to find a space at busy times of the year and once you have checked in, there really is no need to drive!

Other things to note
VAT is included in all our accommodation prices - a VAT invoice is available if required.

Linen, towels and wifi provided.

Interior decorative elements reflect Shrimp’s fun location with a nod to the end of the Pier and the Surf culture that has grown up along the chalk reef between East Runton and Mundesley. Some of these items are for sale, so do let us know if you are interested in anything.
