Designed for families, couples, and group getaways, Shipp’s Creek blends modern luxury with the outdoors.
Shipp's Creek is a custom build featuring (4) 40-foot long shipping containers. Two of those containers are fully intact and make up the living / dining / kitchen area. The other two containers were cut in half to form what is now the bedrooms. In addition to the interior, the house has over 800 square feet of deck space that truly allows guests to experience all of the surrounding nature.
Situated conveniently in the Laurel Highlands, Shipp's is a scenic 25 minute drive to many local attractions such as Ohiopyle State Park, Seven Springs and Hidden Valley Resorts, Fallingwater and much more.

Interior
The house is comprised of 4 bedrooms and 5 total beds.
Bedroom 1: Queen
Bedroom 2: Bunk Bed that features a Twin XL over a Queen. Please NOTE the top Twin XL bunk has a 250 LB weight limit and is recommended for children or folks under that threshold.
Bedroom 3: King
Bedroom 4: Queen
There are 2 full bathrooms with ample countertop space and massive walk-in showers.
The living / dining / kitchen is wide open which allows for a great hosting opportunity. There is seating for 5-6 at the corner banquette with an additional 4 barstools at the kitchen island.
The kitchen is stocked with cooking and baking essentials set for almost any meal-prepping experience. There is a dishwasher, Keurig machine with K-cups, creamer and tea bags. Additionally, you'll find a microwave, toaster and dishwasher.
The living room is set with a 55 inch Roku TV that allows you to log into any of your personal streaming apps.
SC runs on well water and a septic system, so PLEASE only toilet paper can be flushed (no wipes, products, etc.). There is also no garbage disposal in the kitchen, so we kindly ask you only drain liquids.
If needed, you have access to a full-sized washer and dryer that can be used free of charge.
The water is fully filtered and softened for safe drinking and bathing, though some guests prefer bottled water.
We provide Starlink internet for high-speed Wi-Fi. It has proved to be very reliable and a great resource for you to plug-in when necessary.
Finally, while the cabin is treated for insects and pests, the occasional bug may still appear. Please let us know if you notice an increase in activity.
I'm sorry, we also have a strict no pet policy at this time.
Exterior
As mentioned, the house has over 800 square feet of exterior living space across 3 decks. On the first floor deck, you'll find access to a dining table and hot tub!. Here you will find a propane grill for use.
On the 2nd floor, the primary bedroom has its own private deck and seating area attached from the room. Additionally, an expansive covered deck with lounge seating and a gas fireplace provide a weather-proof option with an unbelievable view.
Out back, there is ample yard space with a large gravel terrace area that is home to a wood-burning fire pit which is perfect for smores. Connected to that are steps that lead you down next to the water for any creek-side adventures! Please note there may be wildlife that you come across as you are in the middle of the woods. Respect them and their native areas.
There is an additional entertaining space that has a large deck with outdoor seating, a foosball table, mini-fridge and TV. Please feel free to use this space for games, dining, reading, etc.
Out front, there is parking in the gravel driveway for up to 5 cars.

Guest access
You have access to the whole house, exterior space and the tiny house structure by the creek. The owner's closet (at the top of the stairs) and the basement are the only areas off limits to guests.
