Enjoy the amazing La Rustica Italian restaurant right across the street. Search "La Rustica Seattle" to view menu and place a to-go order or make a reservation. Guests can also book a single or couples massage across the street at Alki Massage and Wellness Center. Search "Alki View Massage, Seattle" to book your appointment.

We supply binoculars because you never know when you will spot a harbor seal, sea otter, eagle or orca whale swimming by. Every day one can view the marine traffic, from sail boats and pleasure craft to giant ocean-going vessels heading to the Port of Tacoma and back to the Far East. From the patio or sitting inside the living room, one can view across the bay the port cities of Port Orchard and the Naval Shipyard of Bremerton, plus the island of Vashon and Blake.

The elegant living room features gleaming hardwood floors, stunning stone electric fireplace, European chandeliers, amazing art and has a grand piano and unending views of the ocean and sunsets.

The gourmet kitchen is a true chef’s dream with granite counters, stainless steel Viking range and oven, full-size Viking double-door refrigerator and Viking dishwasher, and the kitchen is fully equipped for everything you'll need to prepare a light meal. (Note: we ask that if cooking, guests turn on the fan and open the windows to keep the Villa smelling fresh.)

There is an adjoining dining room with table and 4 velvet chairs, credenza, European chandeliers and a stereo and record player. There is also a TV room off the kitchen and a seating area that has water views of Puget Sound.

If you’re working from home, enjoy the main floor office for your Zoom calls. The office has a desk and chairs and lots of built-in storage.

Glamourous bedroom features hand-carved King-sized bed with elegant crown and luxurious bedding. There's a closet and luggage rack and chest of drawers for your clothing. You'll be amazed at the King-sized sandstone bathroom with amazing shower for two. (Note: We use the standard hotel 3-sheet method, which can be confusing for some. We use sheets over and under the comforter for cleanliness. Please sleep between the sheets to keep the bed fresh.)

Upstairs at the Villa, you'll enjoy a marvelous stone balcony overlooking Puget Sound and the Salish Sea. (Please note, we supply an umbrella but this must be taken down every evening due to high winds. Even on a nice day, the winds can come up unexpectedly and a flying umbrella can be a danger!)

The Villa features gleaming marble floors, an amazing stone electric fireplace, and beautiful golden chandeliers and European light fixtures. The wine bar upstairs features a stainless steel refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher and everything you need to prepare a light meal.

Spacious dressing room with double sinks and marble floors and plenty of room for all your clothing during your stay. Luxurious marble bathroom with porcelain sink and deep Jacuzzi soaking tub.

Stroll on the beach, pick up pretty stones and shells, watch the sunset, and it's beautiful even if rainy as one can watch the clouds roll in. During certain times of the year, with storms and King TIdes, watch the breakers from the safety of your Villa. In the summer, there will be scooters and bikes for rent, right outside the Villa. Further down the beach, rent a kayak or canoe. Enjoy crabbing, fishing and fresh seafood at the restaurants along the beach at Alki.

We strive to make the Villa "hypoallergenic" and try to use natural products such as vinegar, baking soda and essential oils. Our cleaning staff uses cleaners and essential oils (including eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, cinnamon, citrus, peppermint, pine, wintergreen) that are harmless to humans but poisonous to animals, so you MUST give us proper notice so we can make "reasonable accommodation" and your service animal is not harmed (30 days notice is suggested). In addition, we use pest control methods and supplies that are harmless to humans but may be poisonous to rodents and animals. If this is a concern, please contact us for more details.

Note: In the State of Washington, there is a $500 civil infraction under chapter 7.80 RCW for any person misrepresenting an animal as a service animal. In addition to this civil penalty, there will be an additional $1000 cleaning fee for any animal on the premises misrepresented as a service animal. Any such misrepresentation shall be grounds for immediate eviction and the reservation will be cancelled. No refunds shall be given.

If you are planning on arriving after-hours or just want some food waiting for you, Guests may order a Charcuterie box from Charcuterie by Annalise (please order 2 days before your trip, $75 or $65 for vegetarian option). You can see Annalise's website by search "CharcuterieByAnnalise" or email charcuteriebyannalise at g-mail. She will have a delicious charcuterie box or fruit, cheese or meat platter waiting for you in the refrigerator when you arrive.

We know you’ll love staying here! There is a shared laundry room. Just let us know ahead of time if you need to do laundry. This is a complementary service :)

Note: Your unit does not have individual heat or cooling control. There is one main thermostat in the managers quarters and that is set for 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit (depending on the season). That is comfortable for most people but just in case you are hot or cold, each unit has its own individual oil heater and fan. They may not be plugged in when you arrive but please feel free to use those when you get here, to make your stay more comfortable. *Oil heaters must be plugged directly into the wall, not a power strip or extension cord! Can cause a fire. Do not leave unattended! * Thanks in advance for your understanding!

PLEASE READ ALL THE RULES BEFORE BOOKING. This is for everyones safety and protection.

Please tell us about yourself when responding to the AIRBNB ad and why you're coming out -- it may help us to help you. Take the time to write a few lines about yourself-- after all, you're entering someone's home and it's the friendly thing to do. We love to host all kinds of visitors and we welcome you to the Villa! We are a married couple with grown children who are all grown-up and live elsewhere and we are very quiet and spend our time reading, gardening and making art. We love Seattle and love sharing all the beautiful scenery and fun things to do here and we make a point of keeping up with the good restaurants and events, so let us know if there's something you like and we'll send you our suggestions for visiting.

*Check-in time is 5pm (sometimes sooner if the cleaners finish early) and check-out time is 10am. Late check-out available for $10 an hour w/24 hours notice and if no on else is checking in that same day. Please inquire.*

As mentioned earlier, due to security and safety concerns, we ask that this be an adults-only home. We are also a human-only home, and we ask that no animals of any kind be allowed on the premises. In addition, we use pest control methods and supplies that are harmless to humans but may be poisonous to rodents and animals

Note: Seattle has the most delicious and safe natural water, right from the tap. Please do not purchase bottled water. Our water comes straight from the Cascade Mountains and we have our own watershed on the Cedar River. You won’t taste such delicious and clean water anywhere in the world!

As you enter the home, the first thing you will notice is the grand piano that you are welcome to play and there is music for you in the dining room cabinet.

The main floor features a marble fireplace, grand chandeliers, original artwork and amazing views. There is a main floor fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with an Italian twist: marble countertops, Viking gas range, Viking refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a comfortable dining room filled with chandeliers, velvet chairs and original art. There is a ROKU TV in the family room/dining room too. Also on that floor is a separate office and a bedroom with a King-sized bed and an amazing all-sandstone master bath with separate walk-in shower. There are two TV's upstairs, a ROKU TV and a digital cable TV.

WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR VILLA! We know you'll love it!

This Villa is perfect for several adults or two couples. Sadly, we cannot have children because there is no fencing from the home to the street to the Ocean-front beach, so not safe for kids.

**Note: this property is in the city, on a main street, across from a restaurant and the beach. You will hear city noises, restaurant noises and beach noises. The restaurant is open from 5pm to 9pm and during that time, people will be dining and coming-and-going. The beach is open at 5am to 11pm.**

Neighborhood highlights

Amazing location on the salt water shores of Puget Sound, inland from the Pacific Ocean, resplendent with orca whales, seals, sea otters, eagles and salmon.

Alki is a long sliver of a neighborhood along the water in West Seattle and holds the title as the westernmost neighborhood in the city. Its beachside location has imbued a laid-back vibe to this community, which is quiet during cooler months but bursts with tourists during summer coming to hang out on its beaches.

Given the beach crowd that arrives with warm weather there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to spend your time and money. Nothing here is too fancy; the dining options are pure beach casual: pizza places, fish and chip joints, burgers, and ice cream.

Residents love the walkability of this neighborhood and boast that they never have to leave since it's got all the daily basics that you'll need. And when all the tourists leave for good after Labor Day and the air starts to cool, locals stay outside and stay warm by lighting bonfires on the beach.

Housing-wise there is a mix of single-family homes, condos, and apartments. During tourist season, street parking near the beaches can be an exercise in patience so you'll want to get a place with reserved parking or a garage.

Alki is bordered on the north by Puget Sound, on the east by North Admiral, on the south by West Seattle Junction, and on the west by Puget Sound.
