Rose Cottage is a 3 bed cottage (sleeps 5 plus infant) situated less than 5 mins walk from the stunning beach at Freshwater Bay. Close by is Tennyson Down with its stunning cliff top walks to The Needles as well as beautiful beaches at Totland & Colwell Bay.

The cottage has an enclosed front and rear garden plus off street parking.

Within short walking distance are Dimbola Tea Room, The Piano Cafe, Farringford House, The Albion, the bus bar and a visiting pizza van in the summer.

The space
Each of our rooms are thoughtfully designed to take into account both families and adult groups staying.

Downstairs: Kitchen, Downstairs Loo, Dining Room, Lounge, Snug / Study if you need to work while away!

Upstairs: King, Double, Single Bedrooms and Family Bathroom
There is a floor plan in the photos section.

There is plenty of space in both the king & double bedrooms for the travel cot (provided) if you have baby / toddler. I also have another folding bedside crib that is suitable for babies up to 6 months.

The garden is fully enclosed, and there are swings and a small trampoline in the rear garden. The front garden is a real sun trap and perfect for alfresco dining.

Neighborhood highlights

Rose Cottage is on The Square and is 0.3 mile from the beach at Freshwater Bay and very close to Dimbola Tea Rooms & The Piano Cafe.

As well as walking up on the downs we also love the beaches at Toland (stones) and Colwell (sand) as well as the boats in Yarmouth. I have lots of information on places to eat and visit in the local area which I will send if you go ahead and book. If you are into surfing and kitesurfing the beaches at Compton are also very close by.

For those bringing dogs there are so many beautiful walks on beaches and in the countryside. There are some restrictions on dogs on some beaches from 01 May to 30th Sept but there is still loads of space for them to run about and I can provide details on this for you.

Getting to the Isle of Wight is easy using WightLink (Portsmouth or Lymington) or Red Funnel Ferries (Southampton) and the ferries run at least every hour, more often in the summer.

For those coming over for a special occasion, The Hut at Colwell Bay is an excellent place to eat and hang out. They can also come pick you up in their "hut truck" so no need to drive.
