Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Freshwater

I stayed at Sonia’s house with a group of friends. We were 6 adults and 5 children aged 3 to 7. The house was perfect and I actually think the photos don’t quite do it justice. There is plenty of space for the children and adults to do their own thing but also come together. Reception spaces were so cosy with lots of space and made a great cinema room or snug, depending what mood you’re in. Bedrooms were all a great size and and beds were so comfortable! Sonia is a great host. Very responsive, kind and helpful. We have already said, we will be back as it’s such a great house for a gathering with friends.

We stayed here over Christmas to be near family and it was ideal. The bath is a highlight and the place is very cosy but not too small. It is in the centre of the town so although no sea views it is very convenient for the shops and bus stops and just 5 minutes walk to see the sea. The car park is just across the road. Justin and Jackie were easy to communicate with and everything went smoothly during our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Aimee and Paul have a beautiful home that felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The space was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their hospitality was exceptional—they provided great local recommendations, were responsive to any questions, and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful environment while still being conveniently close to local attractions and amenities. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend their home to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Aimee and Paul, for such a fantastic experience!

We had another amazing New Year stay at Coppice. Such a comfy, cosy, clean and well equipped place to stay and Cora our dog loves it too. Just a short walk from the beach and cliff top walks and the new forest is a short drive away so for us and our dog it's the best of both worlds. Debbie and Ian are great, friendly, helpful and responsive but also happy to leave you to it. I'm sure we will return ❤️

We booked this on the day, very last minute and Jack responded so quickly to get us booked in. There was lots of useful information and everything was very clear which meant we didn’t have any queries or concerns about our booking or on arrival. He is very kind and easy to speak to so wouldn’t hesitate to contact him if we did needed him (which we didn’t as everything was amazing). The house and location were perfect and everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived, with the hot tub being an added bonus. We definitely recommend and will 100% be returning in the future 😊

My band was playing a show at Chaplin's and we needed a place to stay the night that could accommodate 5 of us to avoid a very late night drive back to Southampton. Sarah Jane's home was perfect - space to park, a quick walk with all our gear, and SUPER comfortable beds! It was leaps and bounds a better space and value than the hotels we usually stay at for out of town gigs. We will definitely be looking to stay here again next time we're in town if it's available!

We had a wonderful family pre Christmas get together weekend at park Dale Cottage. The house was in a beautiful spot and we found it spacious and well laid out for our extended family needs. Kate was welcoming and available if we had any questions. We really enjoyed walks into the local area and definitely needed our walking boots to go across the field into the woods which are beautiful and full of ponies! The kitchen area was well equipped, the beds comfy and it was perfect for young children with the lovely selection of toys and outside play area. We loved the big open plan space it was very social . Thank you Katie for the welcome hamper food bits. We really had a perfect weekend, thank you.

Great place to stay to unwind from the real world, the host goes above and beyond for us this is now our 4th time back and we are never dissapointed I’m definately going back again

Amazing place, surrounded by nature. cottage was very clean, cosy, felt like home. Very dedicated hosts, always available for any questions, lovely basket with goodies at our arrival. Amazing experience will come again for sure in future

We had a wonderful stay with all our family to celebrate a special birthday - we loved the house, all able to eat together around the table was wonderful, enjoying chatting and drinking in the beautiful lounge and the younger ones loved the hot tub and braver ones the swimming pool. Great position for all the lovely New Forest areas and walks

Just had a wonderful 2 night stay with our 3 young children. It was a cosy and homely base for our exploring, and we thought the added extras of tea/coffee/biscuits were lovely. We hope to return in future :) thank you!

Had a lovely stay with family. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the property and surrounds. The living area was inviting and convivial with a cosy log fire. The host was very friendly, helpful and responsive, going out of her way to accommodate and make our stay memorable. Definitely recommend.

We were made so welcome by our hosts and given really helpful local information and tips. The house is in a beautiful private setting surrounded by woods and within walking distance of local shops & restaurants. The suite is very spacious, well furnished, beautifully decorated & had everything we could possible have needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We took our Springador Burt with us and he was also made very welcome. We really appreciated the provisions left for us too, especially after a long drive. We couldn’t have asked for any more. It was just perfect and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely caravan, perfectly clean and well presented. The personal touches were very considerate, and the place was well stocked with games, books, and everything you could need in the kitchen. The coffee machine and large air fryer were great additions. Ourselves and our little dog were made to feel very welcome, and the host and owner were both lovely to deal with. The only downside is that we felt it was just a bit too small for 5 adults and a teenager. Mainly because the living space was quite small, it looked bigger in the pictures, and as the storage in the two twin bedrooms was very limited, we couldn't fully unpack. Overall, though, it is a very well kept and inviting place to stay on a clean and very dog friendly site with good amenities. Would recommend for a smaller family.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful converted barn, with a lovely welcome from Caroline. The Annex was clean, comfortable and well equipped with lots of useful extras, including doggy towels and bowls. Idilic, peaceful country location, with New Forest walks and beaches close by. We would definitely recommend The Annex, and hopefully one day we’ll go back.

We had a lovely time at Sarah's property. The bungalow was lovely and clean and spacious and perfect for our needs. It was very well situated for both the coast as well as beautiful woodland walks. The break was just what we needed and Sarah was very easy to get hold of and very helpful. Thank you. :-)

Enjoyed a lovely weekend stay as a couple. The apartment is very well kitted out with a full kitchen and the bathroom is in pristine condition. Hot tub was great, easily accessible, easy to use and offered good privacy. Paul and Tracy are excellent, friendly, helpful hosts who were very communicative and responsive. They left us a lovely hamper of breakfast items and even asked what type of milk we would prefer. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time staying in Tony and Ulli’s place, together with our puppet. It is cosy, clean and conveniently located for visits around New Forest. We will definitely consider coming back.

As always, fantastic break with Gordon. His caravans are the only place we ever stay in southsea/Portsmouth area, you cant get a better host.
