Reddings Retreat Farmhouse suite has its own entrance & shower room with w/c, which adjoins the main farmhouse, so guests can come & go as they please.
Reddings Retreat is nestled on the edge of Tintern, in the heart of the Wye Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With easy access to the Wye Valley Walk National Trails & Offa’s Dyke. The tranquil setting, breath-taking views & abundance of local wildlife make it the perfect peaceful countryside getaway to relax & unwind.
The space
Reddings Retreat is located on a working farm in Tintern, Monmouthshire. The idyllic countryside setting provides spectacular views of the Wye Valley. The peaceful atmosphere and tranquil location provides the opportunity to relax and unwind surrounded by an abundance of wildlife.
The accommodation is access via its own entrance, from the side patio of the main farm house, enabling guests to come and go as they please.
The parking is at the front of the main farm house and the door to the accommodation is accessed via a pathway leading to the back of the farmhouse along the side of the garage. The accommodation is on two floors. The ground floor has a private shower room with W/C, boots & coat utility area with:

toaster;
water jug;
kettle;
slow cooker;
microwave;
crockery & tableware.

Please note there is a utility area only, not a full kitchen (no sink/cooker/hob).
Upstairs the spacious guest room has a super king bed along with a large settee bed. The guest room can accommodate up to 4 guests. Please note the guest room does not have an inside eating area just a small desk and table in the guest room as shown in the listing photos.

Downstairs is a step outside the entrance doorway in the ground floor to the patio and garden area with picnic bench and garden seat for alfresco dining while enjoying the breathtaking views of the farm and Wye Valley.
Within minutes you can access the footpath leading down to Tintern Abbey and the local pubs, shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

Reddings Retreat’s drinking water is from a spring on the farm and not from the mains water supply. The spring water is treated and filtered so is suitable for drinking, but it’s your own decision if you wish to drink it or not. If you decide you would prefer not to drink the water you can you can bring your own bottled water, it’s entirely up to you.
The kettle and water jug are filled ready for guests arrival and in the fridge guests are provided with a jug of milk and a 10 litre water dispenser. Guests can refill these with spring water from the sink in the shower room or patio tap. Or if guests prefer not to refill from the sink in the shower room or patio tap guests can just asked for them to be refilled by the on-site hosts who live in the adjoining main farmhouse.
Guest access
Reddings Retreat Farmhouse Guest Suite has accommodation is over two floors and is accessed via a step from the patio area.
The ground floor has a utility area, shower room with w/c, boot with stairs leading to the first floor guest room. Reddings Retreat Farmhouse Guest Suite has its own patio area and garden accessed via a side gate.
Parking is free and is located at the front of Reddings Farm, next to path leading to the side gate and entrance to Reddings Retreat Farmhouse Guest Suite. Reddings Retreat is accessed via Reddings Farm private drive, which is located off the A466.

Reddings Retreat is on a working farm, and to protect our wildlife, nesting birds and livestock we do not allow pets. You may see pheasants, ducks, partridge and occasional guinea fowl, plus a herd of fallow deer that live in the surrounding woods. Expect owls at night and birds of prey and swifts on the wing. Our feeders regularly attract tits, robins, house sparrows, finches, great spotted woodpeckers, wood pigeons and starlings. Seasonal or occasional visitors include goldcrests and waxwings
When booking if you would prefer not to have contactless check in, please let us know so we arrange for someone to be available to welcome you.
An earlier check in and or check out time are sometimes available. Please enquire about availability when booking or the day before your departure.
Please note our drinking water is from a spring (natural underground water source) on the farm and not the mains supply. The spring water is filtered and treated so is suitable for drinking, but it’s your own decision if you wish to drink it or not. If you decide you would prefer not to drink the water you can you can bring your own bottled water, it’s up to you.
If you would prefer not to refill the kettle or water containers from the sink in the shower room just knock on the farm house door to get more water.
Extreme hot weather
When daytime temperatures are above 27°C the Farmhouse Guest Suite can become rather uncomfortable.
To keep the private room cool close the black out blind when away from the room during the day. You may wish to pack a fan or cooling towel to help keep you cool during the hotter weather.
In the evening the heat quickly leaves the Farmhouse Guest Suite room if both the windows are open.
The village of Tintern and the Wye Valley are very popular tourist destinations and can be busy during peak times.
We do not allow guests while staying at Reddings Retreat to vape, use e-cigarettes or smoke while on the property.
