Our Cosy Coastal Retreat in Beautiful South Devon
Perfect for couples or families, our charming 18th-century cottage ,once two fisherman’s cottages, now lovingly restored into a characterful home.
Situated just a stone’s throw from the village beach offering local bars, cafés, and shops a short stroll away, you can easily enjoy coastal life. Whether you’re relaxing on the beach, exploring the picturesque surroundings, or sampling local delights, offering the perfect base for your Devon escape.

The space
Saturday to Saturday only during PEAK school holiday seasons .
The Cosy Coastal Retreat
The light and airy lounge is the perfect spot to unwind, featuring a spacious 7-seater L-shaped sofa, a Smart 43” TV/DVD, and plenty of natural light. The dining room offers a Habitat pine table, seating 6-7, with two benches and views of the courtyard and Horse Lane—ideal for family meals or games.

The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering, with a gas oven/hob, electric oven, Bosch coffee machine, and microwave.

Upstairs, you’ll find three charming double bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 has a modern, light feel while maintaining original character, including an old fireplace, a double bed, bedside cabinets, a pine built-in wardrobe, and a window for plenty of natural light.

Bedroom 2 embraces a seaside theme with maritime pictures, a new pine double bed, and two bedside cabinets.

Bedroom 3 is a quirky children’s room with a double lower bunk and single upper, a baby changing chest of drawers, and a large window seat overlooking the courtyard garden.

The hall offers additional storage for linens, leading to the bathroom, which features a spacious double shower, toilet, mirror, and sink with built-in bathroom storage.

Location & Amenities
There's so much to see and do in the local area—whether you're looking to relax on the beach, explore charming villages, or enjoy local eateries, you’ll never be bored! The property is ideally located with free street parking just around the corner, and throughout the village. You can also opt to pay for parking in the nearby Ness car park via RingGo.

Other things to note
There is FREE street parking on Horse Lane and around the corner on Broadlands also there is a village carpark at the Ness,10 mins away where you can leave the car for the week .
I always manage to find a place to park, so do persevere !

Shaldon is a sweet Village with a good selection of numerous friendly pubs, cafes, and restaurants to choose from along with an award winning butcher, a bakery, chemist, Post Office, delicatessens and a chip shop.
Among the many things to do and see are:-

"1785 Day" from May until September on every Wednesday, the villagers dress in georgian costume and there are many special attractions on the village green, with free entertainment in the evenings.

There's the village Beach or wander up to the Smugglers tunnel which goes to the Ness Cove Beach, a larger and sandy beach. With the completion of a multi-million pound South West Water "Clean Sweep" scheme, we can boast of some of the cleanest beaches in the South West.
Take the passenger ferry to Teignmouth
Torquay is about 8 miles, Exeter 16 miles and Dartmoor National Park about 15 miles away
