An oceanfront 'oasis' mid-Vancouver Island between Comox Valley and Campbell River on the Strait of Georgia. This is a destination AirBnB offering generous long-term discounts. This site calculates weekly and monthly discounts, however, we offer even better discounts for 2 mos and 3 mos stays - see the chart in our photos. Enjoy the ocean scenery, wildlife, hummingbirds and cruise ships. We are near to Strathcona Park and Mt Washington. Enjoy kayaking and beach fires. Come get some Vitamin Sea!
The space
~ Sorry, we are not set up for children or pets as guest yard is not fenced as it open to the ocean (backyard) and we have 2 overly friendly large breed dogs on the property who are not used to children.
~ Regarding our dogs: Cooper & Kali - you wont need to interact with them as they have their own fenced yard - unless you want to of course. They may woof at you, but they are actually extremely friendly. You may also hear them playing upstairs at times.
~ We provide your first 'continental style' breakfast: fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, milk cream
~ if you don't want to share the queen bed we have a single rolling cot that is quite comfortable. Just let us know if you need this. There is a small additional charge for a 3rd guest.
MORE ON THE OUTDOORS
~ you have your own private path to the shared oceanfront/back yard where you will find patio chairs for your use and a shared oceanside fire pit (wood & kindling are provided).
~ our beach is a rocky one with fantastic ocean and mountain views, there is a sand bar just to the left when the tide is far out so you can enjoy this in the summer. There are also some amazing sandy beaches just minutes away.
~ enjoy your morning coffee or tea on a lounger, take in the amazing sunrises and sunsets looking at the Strait of Georgia. Watch the year-round hummingbirds conduct their aerobatics.
~ there are 2 kayaks and life jackets available for those milder ocean days in the spring/fall/summer.
~ you will likely see eagles, loons, ducks, seals, herons and of course hummingbirds (more in the cooler months)
~ if you are lucky you will also see flickers, kingfishers, sandpipers, river otters, sea lions and dolphins.
~ our 2 dogs have their own fenced area and won't be interacting with you

~ a complete kitchen with everything you need - if it's not there, let us know and we will provide it
~ you have your own little portable BBQ
~ enjoy the wine library, take a bottle leave a bottle

~ a 40" Samsung smart TV with an HDMI cord, Prime, Paramount, & Apple (no cable).
~ access to a shared laundry room that has a large front loading washer/dryer and a large freezer if you need to freeze some fish or seafood
~the suite is nice and cool in the summer and in the cooler months there are two infrared heaters (1 in the main living area and a small one in the bedroom) so you can set your own best temperature

Panago Pizza and Domino Pizza delivers food that comes to this address. Panago has amazing fresh salads. There are good restaurants just a 20 to 30 min. drive from our bay.
We have 2 overly friendly large breed - exuberant dogs and you may run into into. We do our best to keep them out of your way and they have their own fenced area.
Long-term guests are provided with an initial supply of tp, dish soap etc - then there is a list of septic-friendly products you can purchase for your longer stay.
Planning on fishing and have a boat? We have parking for your boat and the boat launches are just minutes away. You could also moor it out front and kayak back and forth. We also have a large freezer for your catch.
