Beautiful and walkable

A beautiful, two-double-bedroom space, arranged over the top floor of our house & accessed via our front door & stairs. It includes a private bathroom & kitchenette. Ideally located in the heart of Hastings old town, the accommodation is moments from the beach, fishing harbour, excellent independent shops, museums, galleries, eateries, great pubs & glorious walks in areas of outstanding natural beauty.
With calm, lovingly designed interiors, this truly is a home from home in which to unwind.

The space
Our private guest accommodation is on the top floor of our three-story historic townhouse & accessed via our shared entrance, hallway & stairs. With fabulous views across the old town and West Hill, the main bedroom has been carefully designed to provide relaxing accommodation. It also offers valuable amenities, including a dedicated workspace, clothes rail, additional storage and a small but well-equipped kitchenette with a kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave, self-heating pan, chopping board, plates, and cutlery. The sink is in the bathroom, with washing up facilities provided. We also offer a complimentary selection of high-quality teas and delicious Nespresso coffee to enjoy at the breakfast table overlooking the town.
Our comfortable UK standard double bed with natural linen bedding guarantees a restful stay.
We also have a second small double bedroom if you are a party of three, two guests who prefer separate accommodation, or parents with a child. (We do not have stair gates, so it may not be suitable for very young children) We understand that each guest has unique requirements, so please get in touch with us to discuss. This charming second bedroom, although compact, is very cute, filled with morning light and has a beautiful outlook over the gardens, East Hill, and our famous funicular railway.
The adjacent bathroom has everything you need, including lovely toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. It also has a bath, with a shower, toilet and sink.
In addition, we provide Turkish towels, extra blankets, hot water bottles and a hairdryer.

Guest access
The top floor is exclusively for guests' use; please let us know if you are two single people and require the 2nd bedroom to be made up. Otherwise, we only prepare the back bedroom if it is a party of three people, so let us know your requirements. We do not accept bookings from multiple parties, so your privacy is assured.
The rest of the house is our private space; Please note we have a rescue cat that doesn't normally access the guest rooms in case of allergies, but he may pop in and say hello if your door is left open.

Other things to note
Our street is residents' permit holders only from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., but unrestricted parking is available on Harrold Road, and some reasonably priced car parks are nearby. We strongly recommend researching parking options before arrival, as we cannot provide parking permits.
It is an old medieval town with very narrow streets, so it is not easy to navigate, but if you would like to drop your luggage off before parking, this is a good option. We also suggest arriving early, as parking can be problematic in the evening.
Check-in is between 3 and 5 pm, but we may be able to accommodate earlier and later check-in times, so please enquire.
The house is a historic listed property with original single-glazed sash windows that can be drafty and rattle on windy days. We ask that you consider this before booking and embrace the history and the beauty of imperfection in a time-worn home.
Towels and flannels are for the guest rooms only and may not be taken to the beach or used to remove makeup (cotton wool is provided)
A cot is available upon request.
