Oak Cottage is in the perfect place to explore Pickering and the surrounding North Yorkshire Moors and Coast. With Parking for 1 car and Just a 5 to 10 minute walk into central Pickering and the NYM Railway. Fully equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay with lots of luxurious extras. We can sleep upto 4 people and one well behaved dog is welcome, but must be added to your booking for a small charge. It is a terraced cottage on the main road.
The space
With a tastefully modernised open plan layout downstairs incorporating the fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge, we have a Smart TV with Virgin TV and broadband, perfect for accessing your box sets etc... and a log burning stove for cosy winter evenings.
Upstairs we have the master bedroom with kingsize bed, the second smaller room with twin beds and the shower room with corner shower.
Outside there is an enclosed sunny courtyard with bar set for enjoying the southerly aspect in spring and summer.
We provide all bed linen and towels, kitchen towels & tea towels.
Decorated in December for Christmas weekend breaks for the Santa specials on the NYMR, Cosy Christmas or New year Break ?
Our parking area is at the rear of the property and there is ample on street parking at the front. The cottage is in a row in a slightly elevated position from the A170 the main route through Pickering.
It is a 10 minute walk to the centre of Pickering, where there are numerous shops, pubs, coffee houses, restaurants and the North York Moors Railway, 5 mins to the nearest pub.
We have the picturesque village of Thornton le Dale just 2 miles down the road, the home of 'Bangers and Cash' and the gateway to Dalby Forest.
If you require a cot or highchair please let us know in advance so we can put them in the cottage.
❤️We price the cottage on the basis of 2 people - one bedroom, and charge extra per person for upto 4 people for the extra linen / towels time and cleaning, we believe this is the fairest way to charge for all. ♥️ please add the correct guests/dog prior to sending your booking request.

We have a private parking space at the rear for one vehicle, and on street parking at the front for a 2nd vehicle.
Parking is very limited in the town centre especially in high season but it is only a 5 to 10 min walk away.
Other things to note
If you are wishing to bring your pet dog we must be informed at booking point, you need to add 1 dog to the guest details. We can then prepare the cottage accordingly. Thank you.
Please inform us prior to your stay if you require a High chair or a Cot .
Log burner : logs and kindling supplied for 1st night / 1 good fire.
Extra logs can be purchased prior to your stay on request.
or At Middleton fuel station 2 min away (also has a convenience store)
Flintofts in town or the Fuel stations on Malton Rd Pickering.
Please note it is a small log burner and needs smallish logs .

Neighborhood highlights
The cottage is in a terraced row on the westerly side of Pickering. It was built in the 1840's and is grade 2 listed, we are on the side of a busy road but have secondary double glazing for noise reduction and the cottage is fully modernised.
