Room in a farm stay

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
Located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake Wine Country, our basement level welcomes travellers to our family farm with:

- complete lower level in our home exclusive to guests
- 2 queen beds
- private living room & bathroom
- bright large windows with blackout blinds

Just steps from our vineyards & peach orchards and complemented by vineyard walking trails, WIFI, microwave, Keurig coffee, tea, instant oatmeals, and just minutes by car to downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake & Niagara Falls.

The space
Our space is an open concept bedroom and living basement level space. Important to understand: we live directly upstairs! This is our full time HOME. So you will 100% hear noise from us without question, and it is a farm, so we wake early in the morning between 5 - 6 AM/7 days a week. We will always be as considerate as possible, but please do not expect complete silence, as our kitchen is right above the space and we do have a large family with young grandkids. If you are a light sleeper or want absolute quiet, this rental is NOT for you.

NOTE: there is NO kitchen in this space (just a Keurig coffee machine, a filtered hot and cold water system, microwave, and a mini fridge), and the breakfast is self serve style (instant oatmeal packages, coffee, tea).

As this is a basement level it will be much cooler in temperature, especially in summer when the air conditioning is on. If you do not like cool spaces please do not book here.

Guest access
Complete lower level, side entrance and half bath.

During your stay
This is our family home and we will do our best to personally welcome you to the farm! If not, you will hopefully see us at some point during your stay. IG @rentalsniagara

Other things to note
- Our location is NOT within walking distance to the NOTL downtown.

- The bathroom has low ceilings...anyone over 6'2" will have to bend down.

- WIFI may be slow at times, as it is rural service.

- We DO NOT accept guests that do not have their Government ID verified through Airbnb

- The entry, while separate, is connected to our home via locked sliding doors that lock from the owners side only.

- We live in the country and there are bugs in all seasons. This does not mean our home is not clean! Ensure doors and any unscreened windows are closed to avoid excess bugs.

Neighborhood highlights

Niagara-on-the-Lake is a town in southern Ontario. It sits on the shores of Lake Ontario, at the mouth of the Niagara River. It's known for its wineries and the summer Shaw Festival, a series of theatre productions. The flower-filled, tree-lined old town features 19th-century buildings, mainly along Queen Street. Near the river, 19th-century Fort George was built by the British to defend against American attacks.

Hello Airbnb Community! I am a very proud Canadian, raised in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, where I now live with my husband on our second generation family fruit farm with our children and our Great Bernese dog Oswin. I am a devout Roger Federer fan and in my free time love playing cards with my daughters, cooking, and taking Oswin on long walks. My family has always been in the hotel business so therefore I have naturally felt drawn to working in the Hospitality sector. Meeting new people is something I love and feels organic to me! My education is in Business and in my late teens I was fortunate enough to partake in an International Management Program at Walt Disney World, studying their world-renowned training and hotel divisions. Whether I meet you as a host or a guest, I will always aim to make it a mutual 5 Star experience!
