Nestled on 80 acres in the woods alongside a stream, this cabin is the perfect retreat. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a gathering of your closest friends-this cabin is ideal. It is located on a private road and close to Howard Pond, Androscoggin River, and Sunday River skiing.
No matter the season, opportunities await, whether you decide to stay close or venture out. There are plenty of trails nearby to explore, canoe rentals, skiing and so much more.

The space
Situated on the banks of the Howard pond stream that once supplied water for a dozen mills since the 1790s. With direct access to its 80 acres, the property is veteran owned and operated. Many upgrades have been made since we purchased the property in 2020.

This cabin has 2 bedrooms (one full, one queen) and also has a loft with 3 twins. You are sure to get a great night’s sleep. The cabin has a fire pit and a BBQ. The deck offers a great place to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. There is a fully stocked kitchen for cooking and entertaining, cable TV and streaming options, and an electric fireplace. There is also a washer and dryer available onsite. There is no landline telephone on site but good cellular coverage.

Guest access
Located on a private road, the cabin is 100% exclusively for guest only access. There is room for several cars to park.

Other things to note
WiFi and cable TV are provided but there is no telephone land-line; cell reception is 4G w/4 bars.
There is additional parking that is adequate for small trailers or RVs less than 24 feet just a short walk (~200 feet) across the stream bridge.
If for some reason you need more camp fire wood or bbq propane, we have plenty.

We are close to lots of outdoor activities-fishing or paddleboarding on Howard's Pond, canoeing down the Androscoggin River, hiking the Appalachian Trail, or skiing at Sunday River. There is also cross country skiing in Bethel and a major snowmobile trail nearby......many adventures await just outside the door but if you're looking for peace and quiet, there is no need to go anywhere at all.

Lives in Hanover, Maine
We like to be outdoors and really enjoy living in the woods with nature. Also big fans of hiking, fishing, skiing and snowboarding. We moved back to New England in 2020 after serving 26 years in the military. Our home in Northwest Maine is a great community for snowmobiling, hunting, and all sorts of outdoor sports and activities. We now host two properties, one in coastal Belfast and our cabin in the woods in Hanover. We hope you will visit both over time as they both offer serenity and a retreat to recharge and connect with your friends and family.
