Before You Book (Please Read)
Our home is located in San Antonio Palopó, a traditional lakeside village about 20 minutes from Panajachel. You can arribe by car or boat
This is a non-touristy, authentic area, which many guests love, but it’s important to know:
• Restaurants and shops are limited
• No large grocery stores nearby (we recommend bringing supplies)
• Transportation is mainly by tuk-tuk (Uber is not available)
• You may hear occasional local sounds (church bells, dogs, community activity)
Our home sits right on the shores of Lago de Atitlán. Enjoy peaceful mornings, unforgettable sunsets, and easy access to nearby towns by road or boat.
Note: The beach area in front of the property is public, so others may be present at times.
This home is perfect for guests looking to experience authentic local culture, beautiful surroundings, and a less crowded environment, while being prepared for the rhythms of a real Guatemalan town.

Being surrounded by nature, you may occasionally see wildlife such as birds, insects, or small animals.
This is part of the charm of staying right on the lake. We maintain the home carefully and recommend keeping doors closed, especially in the evenings.

*Direct access to the house from the main road.
* Check in time 3PM - 7PM (Must call for special arrangements if arriving after)
* Housekeeper (Victoriano) will be waiting for you to check in, and will help you with your luggage.
* Check out time 12PM (Charges will be applied if more time is needed for check out, this will be allowed ONLY if no guests are checking-in the same day).

Other things to note
Our home is SMOKE-FREE! Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere inside the house. If you smoke inside your room or any shared spaces, you will be charged the entire deposit.
Depending on the season the beach may be partially washed away.
We are dedicated to providing you help in exploring options for your stay like boat rides, private chef, massages, shuttle services, etc., while we are happy to share recommendations, please note that these services are independent of our property, and we cannot take responsibility for their operations or availability.

🚫 In Guatemala, the drainage system is not designed to handle toilet paper or feminine hygiene products.
Please do not flush toilet paper, tampons, pads, or any sanitary items down the toilet.
🗑️ Kindly use the trash bins provided in each bathroom.
🧼 Upon request, our staff can remove the trash bags daily to ensure a clean and comfortable environment. Please let us know in advance so we do not interrupt your stay.

The lake is beautiful but deep. For your safety:
• Life vests are provided, for adults and kids.
• Swimming alone is not recommended
• There are no lifeguards

Por favor, no arrojes papel higiénico, tampones, toallas sanitarias ni ningún artículo sanitario al inodoro.

🧼 Si lo deseas, nuestro personal puede retirar las bolsas de basura diariamente para mantener un ambiente limpio y cómodo. Avísanos con anticipación para no interrumpir tu estancia.
