Some info has been automatically translated.
Our 100-year-old traditional wooden house was fully renovated about 10 years ago, keeping its charm. All guest spaces-bedroom, living room, shower, washroom, and toilet-are on the 2nd floor. Host lives downstairs and shares only the entrance with guests. The house is in a quiet residential area with easy bus access to Kyoto Station, downtown, main sightseeing areas, KyotoUniv and ConfCtr. Many restaurants and 7 Eleven are nearby. We host only 1 group per night so you can relax and feel at home.

The space
Reservations are limited to 1 group per night.
The capacity of our guest room is for Max. 4 people, but currently we only accept guest who can come alone, due to the host's circumstances.
The guest room, which is used as the guest bedroom, retains the appearance of a 100-year-old tatami room, but the rest of the house has been renovated into a Japanese-taste Western-style room with all new facilities. All the guest spaces (living room, bedroom, shower, washroom and toilet) are on the 2nd floor, and only the entrance is shared with the host who live on the 1st floor. The entrance is also accessible by a ten-key keypad, and there is no curfew. Therefore, you can enjoy staying without disturbing host and others. Please note that you will be asked to carry your luggage upstairs and downstairs by yourself.
The rattan table and chairs are set up on the porch adjacent to the bedrooms, so you can sit and relax and enjoy the garden trees, moss, and seasonal flowers.

Guest access

Not allow to access: Kitchen / Dining room / Office / Other private space for host such as living room, bedroom, washroom with washing machine, bathroom with bathtub and toilet.

Cold water, hot water, coffee and tea are also available in the oak flooring living room.

Snacks and drinks other than instant noodles and soups are allowed to eat and drink in the oak flooring living room. Please do not eat and drink in the Tatami-mat flooring room. During your stay
Upon your request.
We have a lot of genuine information on sightseeing and authentic traditional cultural experience in Kyoto. We will be able to show you the way to everywhere you want to go efficiently in a limited short time. Also, we will be able to give you the information to experience authentic traditional Japanese culture. Because the information about shoddy experience of traditional Japanese culture is flooding not only on various web-site but also in the city. We are afraid that such kind of information make foreign tourists mislead to know Japanese traditional cultures.
If you like to talk with us about the travel information, common Japanese life or anything else, let's talk together.
If you want to keep quiet, we don't disturb you.
Please tell us your request.

Other things to note
We are in tie-up with the Carry Service next to B1F Central Exit of JR Kyoto station (Kyoto Tower side), so you can do sightseeing empty-handed on both day of arrival and leaving. We can also keep your luggage before check-in or after check-out at our house.

The time from JR Kyoto Station to our house is about 30 minutes by subway and bus, and about 15 minutes by cab (depending on waiting time for the cab and road conditions). Transportation by subway and bus is very convenient with little waiting time, especially during the daytime, and direction is very easy to follow. More details will be provided after the reservation is approved.

If you come from Kansai Airport (KIX), there are many ways to get around, including JR Haruka express, airport limousine buses, so please consult with host. It takes about 1.5 - 2 hours depends on the traffic condition.

We have no bathtub for guests in house. However, we can guide you to Sento (Japanese public bathhouse) "Eisei-yu" in 2 minutes’ walk from our house. "Eisei-yu" is closed every Monday. When "Eisei-yu" is closed, I will be able to show you other Sento located 20 minutes’ walk from our house.

When you stay more than 5 nights, we will be able to replace towels and linens every 3 nights upon your request. If you need more towel and linens, we can replace them for an additional fee.

There is a coin-operated laundry in 2 minutes’ walk if you want to wash. Also, there is full-service laundry in 30 seconds’ walk. If you put out your laundry to them until 10:00 am, they can finish them at 6:00 pm of same day.
