As seen on Discovery+ & QuestTV! Stay in a quirky American school bus in a private Sussex meadow with a hot tub and countryside views. Perfect for couples seeking quirky, high-end glamping with your own space. Inside: cosy double bed, ensuite, full kitchen (Nespresso + pods), Wi-Fi, and heating. Outside: firepit, BBQ, hammock, and private hot tub. Nearby: Bluebell Vineyard, Ashdown Forest, alpaca walks, pubs, and gelato. A unique hideaway - birthdays, anniversaries, or just a cosy escape.

The space
Hop on board your own American school bus for a stay that’s anything but ordinary. Inside, you’ve got a cosy double bed, an ensuite (with a proper toilet!), and a kitchen with everything you need – plus a Nespresso machine to start your day right.

Open the back door and let the birdsong and peaceful nature sounds greet you as you enjoy your morning coffee. With windows all around, you can take in the countryside views from every angle and truly feel like you’re away from it all.

Outside, there’s your private space where you can relax in the 2 person hammock or cook a feast on the fire pit BBQ. And of course, the hot tub is all yours for your unwind under the stars.

No rush, just a peaceful place to switch off and enjoy something a little different.

Perfect for couples, friends, parent escapes, anniversaries, surprise birthdays or just because you love a quirky retreat.

Want to bring your little one? We’re mostly set up for grown-up stays, but if you’ve got one small person joining you, that’s totally fine. There’s room for your travel cot or we can sort a basic camp bed - just bring bedding for that. It’s all bus-sized, so not luxury family space, but if it works for you, we’re happy.

Guest access
You’ll have the entire bus and space to yourselves for your getaway. Many guests love spending time by the fire pit with marshmallows, sipping Prosecco and soaking in the hot tub, or lounging in the hammock while taking in the country views. There’s parking on-site, and if you’re up for exploring, plenty of local gems are just a short walk/drive away - countryside pubs, Bluebell Vineyard with cheese and wine tours, Bluebell Railway, farm shops and even alpaca walks. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, farm gelato with country views is just a short woodland walk away. Full Wi-Fi is always available if you need to stay connected.

For a smooth arrival, it’s easy remote access, and we’ll send you a guidebook with all the best things to do nearby and tips to make the most of your stay. You can also check out our JustUsAndABus social channels to build the excitement after you’ve booked your trip.

Other things to note
For every night booked, we donate £5 to charity. So far, we’ve donated £1900 to BHT Sussex, supporting local homelessness projects. The more stays, the more we give!

Planning a longer stay? We’ve got discounts for 3+ & huge for 7+ night bookings.

Couple escape. Skip the busy campsites and enjoy some much-needed child-free time, or treat yourself to a solo getaway to recharge. It’s also the perfect spot for couples celebrating or just looking for a break from the everyday.

If you’re visiting England, this is a great quirky getaway in the heart of Sussex, far from the crowds but close to some fantastic local spots.

Walkable fun… Bluebell Vineyard for wine and cheese tours, Latchetts farms for their restaurant, dairy ice cream or crazy golf.

Short drive…local farms shops/cafes, Sheffield Park national trust, Glyndebourne Theatre for opera, Ashdown Forest or the Bluebell railway.

You’ll have a meadow to yourselves. While you may spot one or two caravans in the distance, they’re not in your meadow, so your space stays peaceful and private with country views.

Need a midweek change of scenery? Our Wi-Fi is strong , so it’s great for both work and relaxation. Plus, Sundays to Thursdays are cheaper!

We don’t have a tv. But do have strong Wi-Fi for your live streaming pleasure.

We take January off to rest up, but if you’re after a longer stay, get in touch, and we’ll see what we can do.

Weekends fill up fast, so grab your spot now and don’t miss out!

My work: Both work in charity
Fun fact: We got married in Ghana
Hi! we are JustUsAndABus. We've always loved unique stays. From quirky hideaways to offbeat adventures, we're all about creating unforgettable experiences. Our journey into hospitality began in Ghana, where we managed an eco-guesthouse that became a destination for volunteers and travelers. And we care about social purpose, so for every night someone stays in our bus, we donate to a local homeless charity. We love our quirky bus!
