This quintessential Island New Englander is ready to welcome you. Well stocked with toys and equipment for hours of fun. Dog friendly too! Sit on the front porch and enjoy the well groomed perennial gardens, relax while cooking out on the large back deck, explore the beaches, eat fresh lobster, gaze at the stars, enjoy and decompress 23 miles out to sea. Must travel to island by air or sea; travel fees not included in reservation. Once your visit has concluded you'll say "Isle" Be Back!

The space
Matinicus has no stores or restaurants. You must arrive prepared with groceries, snacks & drinks, etc. There is a small island bakery, sometimes eggs or vegetables, a small weekly market, lobsters, and a "gift shop". All of these services are impacted and most likely unavailable during times of COVID19. Cash is King as there are no ATMs or banks.

Other things to note
Smaller outbuilding in back yard is our chicken coop, which houses our laying hens, and the larger outbuilding is for the bicycles & portable charcoal grill. Beach toys, camp chairs, lawn games are located in mudroom located at the rear door of our home.

I will be in and out of both outbuildings through the week. The compost bin is located behind the larger outbuilding.

If natives and summer residents take notice of your visit, you're doing something wrong. Stay on roads, out of yards, do not litter, keep your dog leashed, practice kindness. Take your trash off island upon departure. Support the local economy, bring cash. Be on your best behavior. Remember when traveling you represent your family, city, state, possibly nation.
