A great location with many updates make a special place to stay in Camden. "The Hobbit Hutch" is one of six uniquely named condos in the elegant historical home of famous Atlantic Coast shipbuilder, Holly Bean. The Bean House anchors main street, offering a commanding view of the life and vitality of downtown Camden.  Restaurants, shops, the harbor, and hiking are all within steps of the front door.

Book Commander's Cabin at the same time if more space is needed (directly across the hallway)

The space
Large, freshly renovated, one bedroom condo with loads of sun shining through the new windows. Every room has been updated including the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen has beautiful granite countertops to go with brand new stainless steel appliances. With the exception of the tiled bathroom floor, hardwood floors throughout.

Guest access
Full access to one bedroom condo with the exception of the owner's closet.

A free washer and dryer is available in the basement of the main building. Go through the big red door off the front porch. The door to the basement is on the left past the stairs towards the back of the foyer.

Other things to note
Although the condo has been renovated please keep in mind that it is still a 170+ year old building with a blend of the old and new.

Though The Hobbit Hutch has been thoughtfully updated, it remains part of a historic building over a century old. Expect a unique blend of old and new, with the character and quirks that come with a property of this age.

Welcome!! We live in Maine and enjoy spending time along the coast with our four boys exploring. We love the location of the two condos at The Bean House which allows us to easily walk to everything Camden has to offer. We also love our house in Rockland because of the quiet neighborhood with seasonal ocean views. We hope you enjoy your stay and look forward to hosting you!
