Harbour Hideaway is a grade 2 listed fishing cottage nestled in the Old Town of Scarborough underneath the historic castle and is a stones throw away from the harbour and South Bay Beach. The cottage was built approximately 1805.

The space
This charming, cosy, traditional cottage has a beautiful multi fuel stove, with coastal themes throughout. Only a minute's walk to South Bay Beach, Harbour, Amusements, local Pubs, Cafes & Restaurants. Excellent Location.

This a great place to stay when visiting Scarborough. Everything you need for a romantic escape or a holiday for the family.

There is a travel cot, baby gate and high chair available for babies if required, although no bedding is provided for the cot.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including microwave and toaster. Tea, coffee and milk for your arrival.

The lounge/diner boasts a multi fuel stove for those cosy nights in, decorated with a traditional coastal vibe. There is also a TV/DVD player, board games and a selection of books in case of rainy days.

The first double bedroom gives you a spacious industrial decor.

The twin room has a fresh cottage coastal decor.

The third room is a small double which has a velux window which on clear days can have views of the renowned St Mary's Church.

Towels are provided for guests.

Please be aware as the cottage is located very near the seafront there may well be noise from permanent residents: the seagulls.

The stairs are steeper than average so anyone with mobility issues please take this into consideration. We have included pictures of the stairs in our album so please take a look if you have any concerns.

The three bedrooms open directly onto the stairs also, this is something else to consider, especially if visiting with small children. (we can provide a gate on request)

The Old Town is full of character and history. Lots of families have lived down here for generations, many coming from fishing families. It’s a very friendly place so do feel comfortable to say hello in the street or pub!

I’ve always had an interest in property and love the character of the Old Town in Scarborough. My sister and I both grew up down the “Bottom End” and it really can’t be beaten.
